Fenris rolled backwards off Tanner, grabbing his head with a claw and dragging him backwards a few paces before lifting him, standing on two legs now, the plates realigning to support a bipedal movement better. He slammed him into the floor before leaping at Dio, roaring as he did, carrying it out of range of Jio. His back plates opened and another hail of Faelon Darts is expelled.

Greg runs over, reloading.

Long durations of strain hardly make a being stronger. No, they wear the person in question down.
A little bit every day. I should know, I have first hand expirience with it.
And this is not even taking the third parties into account. Those that wish to release forcefully Nu if only to break Lambda.

It is to help both Lambda and Nu. They both suffer because of this situation.
Lambda suffers because of the constant strain on her mind and the fact this makes it easy for those that wish to do her harm.
And Nu suffers because she is trapped here. Do you have any idea how unpleasant it is to be trapped inside a mind? Having to look at the world without being able to interact with it?

Jio takes a defensive stance and covers his face with his arms as the darts strike him. They rip through him, but he holds his ground and drops to a knee. "Damn those hurt. And my muscles feel a bit numb."
His natural healing ability quickly starts mending his wounds and breaking down the muscle suppressant, but it'll be a few seconds before he can get back in the fight.
