Shannon chambered in another round and took aim. Valentine seemed to have dropped her defenses, so she fired at her leg, still able to use the other soldiers gunfire to mask her shot and keep herself hidden.

Rune, I command you! Strike them down! Erica thought as she focused on her Rune more intensely. After some time, the Rune finally began glowing.
Erica cast a glance over the battle field, carefully pickng a target, afterall, the Rune's powers may well end up hurting one of her allies. Erica couldn't risk attacking a target that was closeby.
Seeing Maka getting hit, Erica decided to take down the ones firing at her first.
She stood up and raised her hand, commanding the Rune to unleash its might on the gunners.
A cyclone-shaped symbol flashed infront of Erica's left hand, seconds after, a relatively small tornado formed next to the four soldiers firing at Maka.
Erica cast a glance over the battle field, carefully pickng a target, afterall, the Rune's powers may well end up hurting one of her allies. Erica couldn't risk attacking a target that was closeby.

Valentine jumped out of the way of the rocketsand the incoming sniper fire, but due to the mass explosion of the rockets it caught her right leg and clothes, setting both on a small fire.
Valentine rolled on the ground to get rid of the flames. then gets up a puts a barrier around her.

Sniper quickly approched Erica and pulled her back and away from the rest of the fighting. He pushed her in front of him and kept his gun trained on her chest. "Alright miss. I'm not going to hurt you if you hand over that hat." he said.

Two soldiers get hit by Valentine's fireballs, and another gets hit by Pyro's flare gun. All three screamed in pain and started running around. The screams where horrifying.
The two remaning soldiers kept firing at Maka. Her attack killed off the two who had been set on fire by Valentine.
The soldier who had been hit by the flare gun and one of the soldiers firing at Maka got caught in the tornado.
Helicopter 3 prepared for another pass.

Sniper took Tophat without a word, then made his way over to George's helicopter for pick-up. He fired his SMG at Maka to cover his retreat, pushing Erica out of the way.
Shannon reloaded her rifle, but kept watch over the battle instead of firing again for the time being.

Helicopter 1 & 2 both starts to take off. The only remaining soldier gets hit by Pyro's flare, and starts screaming. Both gunners gets hit by Valentine's fireballs and scream in the horrible animalistic way that humans in great pain do.
Helicopter 3 flew down next to Sniper, and the gunner starts to help Sniper up.
Tophat was about to say something to Sniper, but then Lord Evilington's mind field, which hampers psyhics stopped it.
