"There is no time! They're right on top of us!"

Twenty Bioderms armed with spinfusors leap out of the ships, jetpacking towards the Cutting Blade. The hatches on the ship opened, revealing the heavy assault team and the recon team. The recon team, only two soldiers, leap out to meet the 'derms as the two mounted spinfusors open fire. The heavy assault team and all other troops opened fire.

"Why would he want to do that?" Joe turned to Javik. "What's going on here?"

Makoto smiled and followed Grace.

Noel finished eating and smiled at Austin.

She said, as she put the plate away.

Saressa reached Winter and Joe and knelt beside them.
"What is it? Is she indoctrinated as well?" She asked.

"Damn it, hang on Cutting Blade." Garrus changed to the comms channel used by all the ships in fleet Vespasian.
"This is Prefect Vakarian. The allied ship 'Cutting Blade' is under attack by an enemy fleet, numbers unknown. Deploy fighter wings to intercept, and divert to assist as soon as possible!"

In space, the carrier hangars opened and several formations of Turian fighters streaked out before hurtling towards the embattled Cutting Blade far off in the distance. Meanwhile the lumbering capital ships began to swing their prows around to face the battle.

Javik had already walked away.

 

[Chungus]

"Possibly. But I still think comming into contact with a resistance movement will be a preferable scenario." Gabranth said as he connected his two swords, forming a double-bladed spear. "At any rate, we had best start looking near places where information tends to flow. Marketplaces, taverns and the like." He added as he began walking towards the city.

Gerry didn't really understand what Val was talking about, so he just stayed quiet.

Austin helped cleaning the dishes. "No problem..." Austin chuckles and smirks, eyeing Noel alittle bit.

Winter whimpered still on her knees.

Kayle followed after Gabranth. "Understood." A few blocks away was a marketplace, hustling with people to and fro.

Makoto walked to the kitchen, and found Austin and Noel. "Hey guys!" She waved.

Grace followed Makoto and gave a similar greeting.

"Ah, Makoto, Grace! How are you two doing?" Austin smiled.

 

[Kirke]

The two recon soldiers quickly got shot down, but not before killing one bioderm each. Dio shot two, But the juggernaut next to him was blasted into bits by a salvo of discs. The doombringer roared, throwing aside the chain cannon he had used to kill a couple of hostiles and jumping into the fray of Bioderms. He slashed at a couple before getting hit by a fusion mortar from a large bioderm. The infiltrators were quickly cut down as their light armour failed. The four soldiers and two technicians defending the generator braced themselves for battle.

The Bioderm ships closed in, and fired a volley at the Cutting Blade.
"We are taking heavy casualties!"

The mute juggernaut silently shot fusion mortar shots at the approaching horde of Bioderms.

Noel said smiling, as she gave small wave.

"Saressa T'Nius, I'm with Garrus and the others in fleet Vespasian." Saressa said distractedly. Shifting around to kneel in front of Winter, she took the human's chin between a curled finger and thumb, and lifted it so that she could look into Winter's eyes.
"Hey, Winter, we're here to help you. Its going to be alright, but you need to tell us what's wrong first, ok?"

As the Turian fighters hurtled silently through the emptiness beyond Earth's atmosphere to the space battle, the pilots assessed the situation while their onboard VIs calculated distances and weak points on the enemy ships.
"All pilots, prepared to engage. Switch to Thanix missiles. Launch and break formation in 3...2...1... ENGAGE!" A wave of sapphire streaks of light emanated from the incoming fighters and blazed towards their targets before exploding against the hulls of the larger ships in a crescendo of superaccelerated, white hot pellets of metal.
