OoC: @Outis Here's the thing. She would willingly take Gerry away to sacrifice him, even if he was happy? And wouldn't that screw up her plan? I mean it has to be a willing sacrifice, right? Wouldn't he be unwilling at that point? How many happy people do you know throwing their lives away? She'd be sabotaging her own plan. And if she went through with sacrificing a happy and unwilling Gerry, she'd be beyond evil, regardless of whether it worked or not.
And if she is emotionally driven to complete this task, too, wouldn't that take precedent in her mind? I mean she is so willing to do this that she will kill a young boy, I think that trumps any concern for him. And calling her compassionate... How many people has she killed in cold blood? Not just Erica, either. When she was first introduced, a group of drunks attacked her. She and Gerry immobilized them. A compassionate person would then walk off. She killed them.
Where Athena fits in. She denounces Athena for "killing" Erica. But she didn't. Her actions may have set the stage, but that's a pretty big stretch. Grace has actually killed lots of people. In fact, Athena has never been stated to kill anyone. She even worried that Lucifuge would rampage and kill civilians, way back when that happened. Long story short, Athena's actions may have unintentionally killed Erica, but Grace was the one to actually kill her. She also plans to kill Gerry, for her plans. And has killed several others.
Athena on the other hand, freed Nu, and only ever really killed herself. Yeah, that was their plan. For each of the Recipes to die in battle, let the group have their cores, and bring them to Ikaros and the Kabbalah. This was the only way Ikaros knew he could get Jio in it. Remember when she died? She said stated her distaste of lies, including their victory, literally stating that their victory was nothing but a lie. Grace comes across rather hypocritical to denounce her in this respect.
