OOC: I am surprised at just how combat effective Derpy Hooves is turning out to be.

Four gasped and started randomly hitting buttons as she noticed a bunch of lasers get fired at her. She wound up boosting out of the way...without flying upwards at all. She just kinda scraped along the ground, propelled by her boosters. Once she was clear of the laser fire, she decided now was a (relatively) opportune time to take a break to avoid going into a panic attack. She dismissed her mech and ducked behind a tree for a bit. Doing so made her attack drones disappear and stop attacking Airforce as well.

'Wonder why the elemental attacks failed...' The brain surveyed the battlefield. Then it noticed that the floating orb thing was still around.

'Mmm...' Joe's Brain looked at it for a while. "Joe we're hitting that orb thing." The brain concluded.

"Um... sure? But those little missiles did nothing before..." Joe said.

"Then we'll use a bigger one." The brain replied.

Joe blew into his glove again as a large missile spanning nearly the diameter of the snowsuit came out from the creases of the suit.

Joe then grabbed it with his other hand and held it aloft his head.

Then Winter broke it... 'Well... new target! It would be a waste on that glowy thing anyways...' The brain thought. "Hit the Air Force with this Punch line."

Joe then did a little stutter step as he then threw the missile like a javalin, as it ignited and hurdled towards the Air Force.

Riou and Jowy each seeing Winter and Amy targeting a small yellow object decided to follow suit.
"Bolt of Wrath!" A lightning bolt fires from Riou's hand targeting the object.

'Flash Judgement!" Jowy fires a sword of pure black energy at the yellow object.

OoC: @Nail For some reason I am thinking it is a chocobo... No idea why...

OoC @Demon: Gotta love Bethesda games. :p
@Slenn: A Bit absorbs all magic used until it's destroyed. And since magic=physics.
@Salty: Wouldn't that be something? xD

Amy's shot shatter the Bit with in one go, making the shots from Winter and Noel miss. With the bit out of the way, Austin would find that he could charge his elemental power without it being jammed.

Joe's missile flew through the air and colided with the Airforce's already battered armour, destroying it completely. Once the smoke settled, it was showned just how much damage it had suffered, as sparks were flying from several parts.

Since the Bit was already destroyed, Riou and Jowy's spells hit the Airforce instead. Making it hover erratically.

The Airforce tried firing a missile... and ended up blowing up the missile bay as other missiles flew up against the one that got stuck.
If it could, this is where it would be pissed off. It began charging its Wave Cannon.

Group 2, go. Finish him!

OOC: @Nailik. I'm not going to say 'touché', because while nuclear physics exists in Final Fantasy, I still feel like there's a red flag in there because the neutron beam doesn't behave like a fusion/flare blast. The singularities and fusion I can understand, but not that.

Sara fired her fusion cannon again.

EMily recovered energy and fired an antimatter stream.

Winona fired another neutron beam.

Gwen fired a singularity.

Reimu unleashed her Fantasy Seal.

Derpy flies around the interior of the Airforce looking for a hidden muffin stash (because there is always one on a doom battleship, everypony knows that!) and somehow winds up in the cockpit, filled with buttons "Ooh more buttons! It turns out I was supposed to press them in the ship/house/bird, so that means that there really AREN'T buttons you shouldn't press!" and starts pressing every button she can find

OOC: Also in other news I found the most best how pokeballs work theory. it's pretty long though
Pokémon are different from humans in biological structure. In fact, their matter is unstable and has a certain tendency to turn into a special form of energy. This is, however, only triggered by certain radiation.

This radiation is that of Apricorns, those nut-like fruits people made Pokéballs out of in ancient times. The inside of an Apricorn's shell contains energy drainers, a sort of biological energy black holes - they let out that certain radiation and they can suck energy in to their centers. Those are there to protect the Apricorns from Pokémon that might want to eat them in a very effective way - a Pokémon that cracks the shell of an Apricorn will be hit by the radiation, turn into energy, and be sucked towards the Apricorn. This can imprison smaller Pokémon inside forever - which additionally provides the Apricorn with more power to suck in more Pokémon - or if it is a powerful Pokémon, it would feel dizzy and perhaps decide the Apricorn is not good to eat. If a Pokémon actually eats the Apricorn, however, it dies and the energy drainers release the energy they contained.

Different types of Apricorns, targeted as food for different kinds of Pokémon, contain different kinds of energy drainers which suck in different types of energy - usually some form which is dominant in some Pokémon and not others (such as Water Pokémon, fast Pokémon, heavy Pokémon, etc.). All Apricorns contain some drainers for all variations, though, so they can all catch anything that is weak enough. Humans also react to the radiation from the Apricorns, but are nowhere near as unstable as Pokémon and only long-term exposure to open Apricorns can cause any problems for humans. This, however, is what has happened to Kurt in G/S/C - it causes the person to seem older than what they really are.

Those who make Pokéballs out of Apricorns use special tools for it. They open the Apricorns, hollow them out and then close them with hinges that will, as regular Pokéballs, open upon semi-harsh impact with the ground or a Pokémon (hence the need to throw the balls). This, of course, greatly increases a Pokémon's chance to escape from the ball.

In a normal Pokéball, different types of mechanical energy drainers have been placed behind a few mirrors. The mirrors work like the glossy inside of an Apricorn's shell, reflecting the Pokémon so that it does not get divided between the energy drainers. They have different types so that the ball will have an equal chance of catching all Pokémon.

What the Pokémon experiences inside the ball is a sort of timeless, dreamy environment - Luxury Balls and Friend Balls provide the Pokémon with a more comfortable one than other Pokéballs

@Demon.
The one argument I would make against that theory is this one:
Then if the energy is special, then how come in one episode of pokémon it showed an ancient 'pokéball' trap humans as well as pokémon?

Derpy flies out the window due to the impact from all of the weapons hitting the Airforce. She sees it falling down "I just don't know what went wrong."

OoC @Slenn: I don't see why.

Sara's fusion cannon left a large hole, wich was then hit by EMily's antimatter beam, making a large chunk of the Airforce fall apart.
Winona's neutron beam furhter damaged the exposed parts, making certain areas at the back of the Airforce explode.
Gwen's singularity tore the Airforce apart further.
Reimu's Fantasy Seal caused several more explosion, setting the Airforce on fire.
Derpy hit the Airforce's self-destruct button.
Grace's barrier spike pierced the Airforce's engines. Bacause of all the damage it has taken, the Airforce began to fall out of the sky.
Before it even hit the water, the Airforce blew up because of the slef-destruct button was pressed.

OoC: And then he fight was over.

OOC: @Nailik. Maybe it's because I'm tired. And I apologize if I'm coming off a little agitated. The neutron beam is considered a nuclear attack, but it doesn't strike like a fusion beam. And maybe it pulls in energy (like the fusion and the singularities) and physical objects (like the ice and neutrons) and that's how it's absorbing it. When there's something that can absorb a lot of things, then I can see with some imagination, it could absorb that attack. But then that begs the question for me as to why that gets absorbed, and not sword and sniper shots.
