Austin nods and looks over to Four. "William's mechanized heart is still active... Someone here besides us needs to impale it."
Winter is losing her mind struggled as she continues to whimper.
<color=brown>"Let me handle it then." Sara sheathed her sword and without hesitation struck it into William's heart with little resistance.
<color=purple>"Somehow....."I have a feeling that Winter will die.... dammit. He trapped us from the very start.
By impaling the heart, the signal stopped and the pain that Winter was experiencing slowly faded away. She still collapsed in Four's arms, utterly tired.
"[sub][sub]I...I.. Is it...over...?[/sub][/sub]" she barely breathed out.
@Gwen: Nope! You guys avoided those endings by not allowing William to get away with Winter. That and character interactions... YAY!
<color=purple>"Yes it is, Winter. I was afraid I was going to lose you there. But there's still more ahead of us I believe." The sisters carried Winter back to the ship.
"[sub][sub]I-i... I think it is Four... I'm... I'm still here...[/sub][/sub]" She sighed relief being carried back by the Mason Sisters. "[sub]Th-thank god...[/sub]"
Austin smiled and headed back to the Guppy. Once there, he noticed that Noel had fallen asleep in his bed. Undressing he fell asleep as well.
Amy walked over to Four. "She's still around... Don't worry."
@All: I think I will list all of the endings... Tomorrow, its too late.
The sisters settled Winter down in a spare sleeping bag. The sisters went to the ethereal plane to get ready for bed. They arrived back and promptly fell asleep in their sleeping bags.
Four breathed a sigh of relief as she followed everyone back to the ship. She followed the Mason Sisters to the bridge and sat down on the floor next to Winter. She looked down at where she had been laid and smiled at her.
Four got up and checked to see how Asha was settling in back at Castle-wood. After some time spent catching up and helping Asha move her things, Four moved the portal frame into Asha's room to get it out of the hallway. Then she went back to the bridge and fell asleep on the floor next to Winter.
1) William is beheaded quickly before any questions are asked by characters sensing anything on William's person. Story ends, Winter lives.
2) Characters ask if they sensed something on William's person and William is killed by the group. Group fights Mihaele. Winter can either live or die depending on attacks.
3) Characters ask if they sense something on William's person and William dies from his injuries. Group is given a short amount of time to try and destroy the signal. If signal is destroyed, Winter lives. If they don't destroy the signal by the end of the time limit, group fights Mihaele. Winter dies.
4) During the Peace Walker Battle, if group continuously attacked the metal ball where William was, group fights Valsion. Winter lives at a cost a few days of comatose.
5) If Winter was kidnapped during the Luca battle, she is also hooked up to the Peace Walker. Any major attacks (like the orbital bombardment) is directed at Winter's life force and will most likely kill her.
6) Similar to 5, Winter is held on the secondary pod of the Peace Walker, directly below the main pod. Completely target-able and if sufficient damage is done, the pod falls off. Winter lives only if someone is there to heal her.
7) A certain timeframe would have occurred where William would say. Death brings genesis, ruin is creation If he is killed directly after these words, Group fights Mihaele. Winter could live or die.
8) Similar to 7, if William is not killed after saying those words, Mihaele comes out and starts attacking the UN Forces. The group will then fight her. Winter could live or die. If she lives, the whole globe places her as a criminal and hunts for her on a constant basis. If Winter dies, once again branded as a traitor and everywhere the group goes, people will slander Winter's name, despite the group knowing the actual truth.
OoC: @Rosh: Quick question: Why would the group asking questions have any effect, whatsoever? I mean, that first ending was completely unlikely. Most of us have characters that will ask questions, first and foremost.
@Salty: Before William could activate a setup signal, establishing the link between William's mechanized heart and Winter's brainwave. The moment that one of the characters asked about if they could sense anything is the time when William sets up the link.
I wanted to see how rash this group can be. And apparently not so, which is good... Sometimes.
OoC: @Rosh Well, I think I've established that Riou will never kill an injured defenseless person. To him, there's a difference between defeating an opponent, killing in war, and needless cruelty. Which is kinda my view, too. And the Mason sisters are scientists. They will certainly ask questions first.
Your explanation works for me, though.
