Riou looks up and presses up against the tower. He begins climbing, swiftly.

OoC: Hey, as long as there is an explanation. As far as I knew he wasn't with the group until just this very second. Me no like random or unexplained for the sake of itself.
@Rosh It doesn't work quite like that. It's more like it would alter fate in very subtle ways. To the point, that you wouldn't even know that anything happened. Most of the time, anyway.

Gerry dodged the spikes and fired at Doom.

Derpy is in the ship eating a muffin
"Gray pegasus, Trixie has great and powerful news!"
"Hiya head-voice! What's the news?"
"A counter-spell has finally been found! We will bring you back in three...two...one-"
And then Derpy was gone.

Erica chuckled. "Good to hear someone has some common sense rather then the 'I must fight on whatever happens!' that seems to be the mentality of so many here."

The majority of Heavy's shots hit and though numerous, the wounds inflicted here shallow.

Amy's grenade hit, Doom right on the chest, blowing small bits of flesh away.
When Austin's earth barrier was trown at Doom, it hit the Doom's barrier instead. The earth barrier broke down into energy that was absorbed by Doom, healing the wounds from the explosion it took moments earlier.

Gwen's singularities put great strain on Doom, yet it did no visible damage. Winona's Z0 bombs kocked Doom out of the sky and smashed it into a wall.
Reimu's Fantisy Seal was broken down and absorbed, healing some of the bullet wounds.
Gerry's spirit bolts did what they're expected to do.

Having gathered the necessary energy, Doom cast Force Field on itself. The group might recognize the shimmering when the spell was cast, as it was the same as the Protect and Reflect spells Kefka had used numerous times before.
Grinning slightly, Doom cast another Blizzaga spell, this time it was wholy aimed at the sisters.

OoC: What damage the barrier absorbs is completely random in the game, so it's decided by a coin toss here.

[Slenn]

Sara put up her shield to defend against the spikes while each sister fell behind her.

Gwen fired more singularities that could penetrate the reflect spell. Sara shot out some uranium bullets with her nucleosythesis power.

EMily, Winona, and Reimu stood by.

Austin switches to his Assault Rifle and fires at Doom. Amy continues her grenade launcher barrage.

Winter chuckled, look at a flask she brought out with her. She took a sip of it. "Heh. I'm not stupid and I know the group will be fine. Being with them, I would just be a burden. I'd rather rest up first... But either way, how are you doing?"

After climbing for a little while Riou reaches the platform and sees...

OoC: Yeah, I know, but still...

Heavy continues to fire.

"I've been doing alright. Though I had a lot of awkward moments today." Erica replied as she scratched her neck.

Riou came out at a relatively long hallway with a conveyor belt going up at the end of it.
[hr]
Gwen's singularities bypassed the Reflect spell and wasn't absorbed by the Barrier. The singularities crushed some of the bone-like material that covered the lower body of Doom.
While the Protect spell took the brunt of Sara's uranium bullets, the radiation made Doom feel weaker.
Austin and Heavy's bullets too were blocked by the Protect spell, leaving Doom with some bruises due to the kennectic force of the bullets hitting it. Amy's grenade, while mostly blocked, fared better then the bullets. The sheer force of the explosion knocked Doom against a wall and drew some blood.

Doom cast a Reverse Polarity spell, warping those that were far away from it closer while warping those that were close by further away. Imediately after doing this, it cast a Northen Cross spell, bombarding the area with large hailstones.

Gerry covered his head with his arms and ran away from Doom.

 

[Wackymon]

Heavy continues to shoot the monster.

Riou follows the path before him without much choice. Walking to make the trip on the conveyor belt faster.

Austin clutched at this feet, making him fall down, as they were damaged from Doom's earlier Blizzaga attack. The hailstones slam into left arm, immobilizing it. Without a single grunt of pain, he continues firing with his pistol.

Amy helps drag Austin away from Doom.

 

[Slenn]

Winona, EMily and Gwen get hit by some of the hailstones. Some of the damage was taken by their armored dresses, and them covering their heads. However it did manage to batter Winona's legs up, leaving them bruised.

Gwen continued to fire singularities at him.
Reimu dodged the snowballs.

Sara was able to catch up to them and put herself at the vanguard once again.

OOC: @Nailik. Is each one of these statues this resilient?

OoC @Slenn: Nah. Doom is the Stone Wall of the trio.

"That too. I also had a lovely conversation with Heavy where he admitted he enjoys killing. That pissed me off."

At the end of the conveyor belt, the path split in three. Left, straight ahead. and right.

Heavy and Austin's shots were still blocked by the Protect spell, though the constant fire knocked Doom around
Gwen's singularities continued tearing away at Doom. One of its horns snapped off and it upper left arm was battered to such a extend that it left it paralyzed.

It slowly moved around as it cast another Blizzaga spell, sending ice spikes towards the group.
The pale-blue aura shimmer, a tell-tale sign that the Reflect spell would wear off soon.
