OoC @Salty: Yes. Plot's still going on, and aside from a battle, nothing much happened.

Those walking down the right path eventually came out at a large clearing. From here, the apex of the tower could be seen if one were to look up. Opposite the clearing stood a two-headed creature with grey skin wich was covered by spiky red scales. It was vaguely humanoid a long tail and with two feathery wings comming from its back. It held a halbard that has adorned with two golden skulls and a chain that connected to a bracelet.
Seeing the group, it flapped its wings and took to the skies where it formed metal blades that it launched at the group

Group 1: Rosh, Outis, Drak.
Group 2: wacky, Slenn.
Group 1, go.

@Nail: Ugly...

The quartet dodge the blades that leap out at them, but Austin takes a few things on account of his Battle Suit.

Amy fires an elemental charged sniper rifle at Poltergeist.

Winter fires her machine pistol, charged as well.

Austin fires his split missile RPGs and Noel with her Bolverks.

OoC: I wonder if there is a way for me to get involved in this...
Also, what is the current status of the thread? Are we gonna do anything with @Drak's plot or anything? Or is Kefka gonna be the end?

Grace, Gerry, and Makoto dodge the blades and Grace fired barrier spikes and Makoto fired an energy ball...thing. Gerry fired his bolts at the thing.

OOC: I'm coming off for dinner, so feel free to skip me if I'm not back for my next turn.

Four hastily re-activated her armor as she saw the attacks. She didn't have time to dodge, but luckily her armor held out under the blades, though the impact still banged her up a bit. Ow. Man that thing is ugly. Let's finish this fast.
Four took off into the air and hovered as she worked her targeting interface, then fired a salvo of missiles, four aimed at each of the creature's arms, and two aimed at the wings.

@Salty: There's a portal outside the ship that will lead to the tower. The group's fighting something down a path to the right of it.
I don't really know about that other stuff though.

OoC @Rosh: Yeah. The Warring Triad are a real bunch of lookers. xP
@Slenn: Neo-Exdeath. The ugliest final boss in the series. Also the hardest.

Amy's sniper round hits Poltergeist in its upper left shoulder, but the bullet failed to completely penetrate the scales. The electricity with wich the bullet had been imbued made Poltergeist spasm slightly, but it quickly shrugged it off.
Winter's machine pistol rounds fared worse then Amy's sniper round against the scales, although did do some damage where it skin was exposed, namely its stomach and right upper arm.
It flew out of the way of Noel's shots while it used its halbard to knock Austin's missiles away. The lower head spat out fireballs at Austin, Winter, Amy and Noel.

Grace's barrier spikes pierced through Polergiest's underside and slightly cracked its scales on its lower left arm. Gerry's spirit bolts did what they always do. Poltergeist used its halbard to block the energy ball from Makoto. Not amused by having been hit by the barrier spike, Poltergeist launched more metal blades at Grace.

Seeing Four's missile barrage approach, Poltergeist's lower head breathed a jet of flame, blowing most of them up before they could reach it. Still, one missile managed to get through and hit Poltergeist on its lower right arm, cracking the scales slightly.
It began flying closer to the group as it cast a Aero spell, sending a gales that would cut like a blade their way.

Group 2, go.

Riou walks out of the ship and sees the portal. Realizing that the others must have left through it, he passes through as well.

OoC: @Wacky as opposed to shooting it with sponges. XD.

The sisters grabbed onto Sara's hand as she put up her shield to defend against the gales. They fared alright. Reimu had a rough time trying to dodge the wind blast and its blade-like ability.

Sara fired some iron spikes from her sword at Polter.
EMily fired a standard electron beam at it.
Winona took a turn to charge up for a neutron beam for her next turn.
Gwen fired some singularities to tear it apart.

Reimu fired a counter attack when one wind-blade almost got her; she used Instant Dimensional Rift and teleported out of the way, firing a barrage of energy bullets at Polter.

@Saltyk: That reminds me of this for some reason:

Samus: "Code-name: Baby's Cry. The name comes from the fact that the purpose of the SOS is to draw attention."
Graham: "Unlike other SOS signals, the purpose of which is to laugh at them."

OoC: @Slenn Lol. I do love Unskippable. They are really genius when the game is really bad. Like Other M. Of course, the LRR crew is just awesome in general so that probably goes without saying.

OoC @Salty: What happened to Jowy? Was he eaten by a Tonberry?

Riou came out at the trisection. The left path had been cut off by rubble, leaving the middle and right paths. If he were to listen closely, he could hear the sounds of battle comming from the right path.

Most of Heavy's unfocused fire hit the scales and thus did very little indeed. Though Poltergesit winced as some of them hit it in the arms and stomach. Once it recovered, it spat out another fireball at Heavy and continued flying closer to the group, not as fast as it normally would due to the spirit bolts their effect.

Poltergeist used its halbard to deflect some of the spikes fired by Sara, though one got through and pierced through its scales hitting it in the right pec. It tried to fly out of the way of EMily's electron beam, but could do so as it was slow down so much. It roared in pain as the beam hit it on its lower head. Gwen's singularities struk where Sara's spike had pierced, further adding to the damage dealt to the scales.
Reimu's energy bullets struk Polergeist and drew blood where they hit exposed skin.

Gritting its teeth against the pain, it cast a Stop spell at Sara, then cast a Firaga spell at the sisters, shooting fireballs that would explode into a searing inferno upon impact at each of them, then continued flying closer.

@Saltyk. They are probably my favorites to watch on this site. I'm always up for watching their Desert Bus Drive as well. Last year had a lot of cool guest stars.

Austin generates an Earth Barrier to protect against the fireball, gritting his teeth alittle bit.

Noel uses her 'Optical Barrel' ability on Poltergesit, aiming for the exposed flesh areas.

Winter continues her machine pistol barrage firing at the flesh areas as well.

Amy takes out her grenade launcher again and fires at Poltergeist

Hearing the sound of conflict, Riou runs down the right path.

OoC: @Nail It kinda depends on how the thread goes... I have ideas for how to end the plot between them. Most of which...
@Slenn LRR is probably one of the best features on the site. They also have a weekly show on Penny-Arcade every Monday. And I love that they do Desert Bus for Hope. Anytime someone questions what Games or Gamers can do or contribute, I point out Desert Bus for Hope.
