Anger grunted once more as its mind was flooded with happy memories. Let us exchange gifts then... Anger then went about flooding Tophat's mind with the memories of all the vile acts it has committed. When Valentine went for it with a mellee attack, it blocked her claw swipe with one of its own, grabbed her arm in a vice grip and used her as a human shield against AEanna's beam. "Too slow still, little one." It wispered in Valentine's ear as she was being drained. Then, it fired another energy pillar, this time aimed at AEanna.
Makoto kissed back. She kept this up for a while, then broke off and stood. "Back in a second." Makoto left the room, heading for the kitchen. Noel, Austin, you still here?""

Following the sound of footsteps, Winter would eventually find herself in a large commons area with a few massive, wooden tables. The tables were already covered in loose sheets of paper, some crumpled up into balls and others just laying flat. Asha was pacing about the room, looking up at the ceiling and seeming utterly bored out of her skull.

Valentine gritted her teeth as her power was being drained, but with her over arm. she cast a blaze on Regulus in an attempt to get free. "wasn't it you who said not to trade speed for power?" She said with a bit of a smirk.

Seeing Regulus grab Valentine, AEanna stopped the spell immediately, and anticipating the next energy beam she raised another ward with her left hand, not wanting to rely too heavily on her armour. As she got closer, moving more slowly as the beam pressed against her ward, her fingers flexed in anticipation and her mind went to the weapon concealed in her armour. She prayed that its unholy bloodthirst would prove as lethal against Anger as it had against Dromaeus's final enemy.
Tophat's cold laugh echoed through Anger's mind, as it laughed in reality as well.

"T'was the other way around..." Anger remarked as it yanked Valentine up by her wrist and wheeled around, this sudden movement meant that Rose's shot largely missed its mark, striking Anger in the shoulder. Once it had build up enough momentum, Anger released Valentine, tossing her at AEanna. Only when it came to a standstill did it notice the chunk that was missing from its shoulder as a result of Rose's shot. Growling, it activated Soul Search and began tracking her down.
In its mindscape it gazed at Tophat. This is a fools errand. Thou shalt not succeed, it grinned and prepared to counter whatever Tophat was about to do.

I think I'll wait till after the fight with Regulus, though it's kinda gonna be a bit awkward since my event will likely end with a fight.

AEanna yelped as Valentine passed right through her ward and crashed into her, knocking her to the ground. The staff of Magnus clattered down a few feet away. Extricating herself from the tangle, AEanna helped Valentine to her feet, taking the moment's respite to search around for Erica. A moment later she turned to face Regulus, noting that he was occupied with seeking out Rose, and began to move towards him as quietly as she could. Although her natural stealth had been lost when she cured her vampirism, she still remembered the tricks that the Dark Brotherhood had tought her and proceeded quickly and quietly, her left hand going behind her back to the base of her breastplate as she did so.
