Howard takes a cupcake, feeling all of a sudden nauseous and terrified, but the feeling is so sudden and quick in its passing that he hardly takes notice. He holds it in his hand but refrains from immediately eating it.
He turns toward Diane.
"Thank you, miss, but I'm afraid I don't know where I am; although arguably I'm glad to be free of whatever nightmare was stalking me."
Howard turns to face the unknown man.
"My name, sir," says Howard indignantly, "Is Howard Phillips Lovecraft. You may call me whatever you wish."
