OOC: *Watches as Rosh perfectly describes the situation Exarchs and Space Marines are in. Surrendering humanity to defend it for Space marines, for Exarchs its insanely complicated.

OOC: Thanks @Salt.

Grace was a bit surprised to see Four's ship was, apparently, inside another, larger ship. She decided to go and try to find someone who could explain this.

Jio looks around and uses a map of the ship to find his way to the Mess Hall. "This thing is so much bigger than Big Orphan. I can't believe we have this thing."
___

"I'm kinda hungry..."

OoC: @Outis no problem.

Technically, I thought of the my series to be focused around John, Vladmir and Natalie (The Vanguards). The series was supposed to mimic Dante's Inferno, showing the horrors that humans do to each other. The last circle comes with Natalie "dying" by the big bad, and once John and Vladmir return to UNC space, Vlad is actually a traitor, but also a stealth mentor as he did the same trials well earlier in his life after a loved one died for him.

In the end, the United Nations Confederacy and the Outer Nations Empire form together for a last offensive against the Crusaders. John dies in Natalie's arms. (Natalie was brainwashed into serving the Crusaders, but then gets better after fighting John nearly to the death)

But the war against the Crusaders, had just begun.....

OOC: Still thinking of the fluff and lore of my verse before working on settings, themes and plots. Just wanted a big, cool sci-fi unverse that is essentially a playground for my ideas. Mostly I'm starting to think what the higher echelons of each fleet are reacting to Varger like, especially the Conglomerant, Asgard announced they had discontinued the project but now they have one running around and have lost a lot of funding and standing. The Grave Fleet (Currently working on lore, belief system, culture) also has an interest for some unknown reason and USC wants to bring him in for justice and to strip the tech from him.

"Hey, Jin. There's a kitchen on the map I opened up there. That's where I got my egg sandwich."

OoC: @Rosh See, that I dont like. Just war and pain without end. I'm good with prettymuch anything happening in a story so long as the likeable characters get a happy or at least a bittersweet ending. Unless the character is meant to just be really freaking depressing, they deserve a break sometime.

"Oh, can you keep her straight then? I don't want to leave the bridge. And without a crew, we're kinda have to do it all ourselves. We'll have to fix that later, I suppose, but, for now, this will work."
___

After eating some bacon and toast, Jio begins to walk around and passes by a gym. "I could get used to this..."

That's...a pretty damn good story. I like this setup. It would really work if you, throughout the story, make the characters more human, which is to say, more flawed. Show them being selfish or ignorant or arrogant or foolish. Not in an extreme way, just enough for people to recognize that these people are actually people with problems and personal quirks. It might even be good to have a few characters who represent "the epitome of humanity" and have them interact with the other, more human characters. Maybe even have the really good people be on the Crusader's side, and the average short of people on the 'Good' side, to show that you don't have to be perfect to do the job of saving the world.

@ALL: Originally, I wanted to put the Universe of the Vanguards and Wardens in Star Wars. A gritty, pushed near to the darkside... But then reconstructed into the light.

@Gear: Well, it was all part of John's Xanatos Gambit. Natalie never loves anybody else. So she decides to go into a sperm bank for a child of her own (John is half-Japanese, like myself). So when she goes to choose from the multiple Japanese donors, she finds John's own. Guess who she chooses?

I gotta go, see ya!

OOC: @Saltyk. Well, as long as were having some imagination with this ship....

Gwen and Sara had finished their brunch and wandered around the ship to see what they could find. Eventually they found a scrap pile in a cargo bay.
<color=purple>"Hey, Sara. Look at these scrap parts! We could build an X-Ray telescope with this stuff." Her eyes lit up abnormally.
<color=brown>"Nice!"
<color=purple>"I mean sure, EMily can do this stuff with her own vision. But I want to see the sun under high magnification under X-Rays. It'll look so cool!"

They rummaged through the parts.

The sun in X-Rays:

OoC: @Rosh That's kinda sweet. Good to see there is a light at the end of the tunnel for at least one of these guys.

"Hey, Grace. How are you?" Jio says to the cleric. "Welcome aboard Shin."

OoC: @Slenn You don't think there would be a gym, a mess hall with a kitchen, or a cargo bay with scrap material aboard a giant warship?
