OOC: @saltyk i just want to talk. when you say "going upstairs requires you to pay or lasers will attack you" what do you mean by "pay" and what is the power of these lasers?, what is the difference between upstairs and downstairs? and last of all, where is everybody?

OoC: @Drak effectively, yes. There's more to the city than meets the eye, but more on that later. But, yes, he lives at the top and looks down on everyone below him. I don't think he has even touched the ground in years if ever.

OoC: @Drak I was seriously under the impression they were following us.
@Jort As in, if you don't pay money, you will be attacked by dozens of lasers. They are implied to be very dangerous if not outright deadly. The group is about 5 floors from the top. Like I said to Drak, the higher floors are closer to the city's leader. Here's a link including character's dealing with the lasers.

The two necrons appeared at the bottom of the tower. as the walked up to the entrance Orikan took a small pouch from his waist, almost filled to the brim with precious gems, as if he kew that payment was required.
