@Trilby: Gameplay segregation compared to lore... Plasma burns right through Kinetic Barriers, completely ignoring it. The Oculus fight against the Normandy also shows that the particle beams ignored the kinetic barriers.

Directed Energy weapons kill in the ME universe, but they are hard to produce and even harder to maintain. That's why we don't see much of them.

Lambda focused on Bellerophon when she saw the man attack Grace. She leapt forward, slashing with her armblades.

Garrus points his rifle at Bellerophon. "Making threats against us is not a good idea." he says threateningly.
When Bellerophon attacks, he moves back to the cover of the shuttle and takes aim.
Shepard fires a biotic Warp blast at Bellerophon.
Tali summons her combat drone, which fires at Bellerophon.

Bellerophon blocks Grace's knife with his left hand, which can be seen to be bandaged up almost like it's in a cast. He grabs her wrist with his right hand and throws her into Lambda. Seeing the attacks from Shepard and the others, he quickly dashes to his sword, at superhuman speed and grabs it up holding the blade up, it's shape transforms into a wall, blocking the attacks.
"Looks like this could be entertaining..." He speaks in a monotone and the blade changes shape till it is a good 50 feet long. He swings it horizontally at the group.

Winter jumps into the air evading the horizontal slash. Spinning both Bladeguns, she aims and fires at Bellerophon. Her armor starts shifting to green-orbs like before.
Kefka jumps out of the way of the over sized sword slash in an awkward fashion that only Kefka could pull off.
Once he landed, he made a strange pirouette, spinning around to face Bellerophon.
He cast a Blind spell at him follow by a newly unlocked Thundara spell. A thick cluster of lightning bolts rain down on Bellerophon.
