The holographic projection shows Winter sitting at a chair, the darkened but beautiful city of Tartarus sits on the background.
"Hello everybody. With the war between Elysium and Tartarus at an Armstice, the fighting has calmed down. But this is just a ruse, the war is still continuing." Winter looks away.
"This war, the Void, the Mirror Cities... All of it, nothing is what it seems. This cycle has been going on for 15 billion years without end. But when we showed up, Zero remembered a discarded idea that he thought up of to break this cycle. Two beings, connected by the Void, but not part of the genreal conscience of the Void. When I realized this, it was you. Gwen and Four." Winter paused again.
"That's why Zero is playing with both sides of this war, to end it. We needed to be stronger to take down Scott. With how we were originally, he knew there was no way that we would have won. That's where Phantom and Arkgain come in. They never actually betrayed him. They are following direct orders. THey are another test. To see if we can best the greatest of Zero's Disciples...
"Arkgain takes full responsibility for his actions on Four, and knows that he will not be forgiven. By any of us. The price of failing to break the cycle... No, I mustn't speak of it." Winter's eyes start tearing up.
"But there's another reason why I am not there with you guys. Arkgain and Phantom, they are actually from my Universe. The Universe of the Vanguards. What they showed me about the Crusaders... There are more experiments like myself, all imprisoned and following the orders of the Director. That's why I decided to return to my own universe. They need someone... And someone like me. I promise to return, but I will not be the same. My spirit will be sealed, locking memories of my life. But that's where you guys come in. I want to guys to make a promise. Despite what happens with me, or how I act towards you guys, you all are my truest friends. You guys will be able to reawaken my spirit."
"Winter, you need to get going now."

<color=purple>"Well.... this explains a lot about what's happening. Albeit some of it was old news, but still." Gwen sat down, pondering what she saw in the message.

<color=purple>"Yes, that'd be good."
And Sara went into the kitchen to prepare some Darjeeling tea.
