OoC: @Saltyk I don't mind mate. If you have something to say, go ahead, I can take it. If I cant, that's my problem, not yours.
@Zeph I want to give her a happy ending too, but honestly, the only thing I can think of besides death is her just going somewhere and having a normal life.

@Gear: What's a happy ending? But seriously, Lambda has been a chew toy in her own universe. She deserves a good ending.

OoC: @Gear It's not about you, man. I actually like Lambda and really all your characters. I can't really say that about pretty much anyone else. Well, maybe @Nail but for different reasons (he makes a good villain).

OoC: @Rosh That's why I'm reluctant to hurt her anymore. She's been through too much as is.
@Saltyk Really? Damn. Thanks man, but what makes me stand out?

@Gear: Hell I'm good with that too!

@Gear that was @Salty: Maybe it's because you play a fairly diverse bunch of characters instead of the same awesome stickman?

Tremors shook the city of paris, causing great chasms to divide the streets and buildings to topple as monolithic structures rose from the outskirts. These structures gleamed with a shimmering silver-black color and were encrusted with dirt, they seemed ancient but the dark green symbols strewn across it made it look as something from the far future. There was several large tower-like structures standing at a height of 50 meters or more and at a width of 30+meters which were stationed in an hexagonal formation around the main building, it standing at twice the height and three times the width. The structures annihilated the surface as they rose and started pulsating a shroud of darkness between the outlying towers stretching up to and past the clouds forming a seemingly impenetrable dome of shadows to which only the perimeter could be seen.

OOC: Ok I've set that up. Now I sleep for tomorrow the necrons march.
@saltyk im guessing its morning for you? (around 10AM?, just making sure my calculations are correct)
its almost midnight for me, so tomorrow morning (my time, probably between 9-10AM for me, 7-8PM for you) we can start that thing we were talking about the other day. if you want.
and don't worry, the Necrons aren't usually very aggressive without orders.

please correct me if I'm wrong

OoC: @Zeph Well, I considered that because it just seems right that she gets away from all of this, and we could always bring her back or have the others visit if we want.

OoC: @Gear Well, for one, you seem to focus on one character making them more dynamic and well crafted. People with tons of characters, suffer from their characters having little to no personality. They all just become bland. I like the way @Slenn has been introducing the sisters one at a time to develop their personalities more and more, for example, but even he can forget about his other characters from time to time (by his own admission).

Anyway, your characters also tend to have interesting traits and personalities. Hazama was a troll, Laguna was the Big Brother, Lambda was the chew-toy. But they all seemed to be well defined and excellently written characters. I can't say how well you stayed true to the source material in Hazama's and Lambda's cases, but I felt Laguna was pretty accurate. Plus, you generally make me care about them. Hell, you make people care about them. Few people here actually know about Lambda, but people are clamoring to protect her and give her, and even Nu, a happy ending. That speaks volumes.

OoC: @Jort you are correct, but I have to be at work in about 30 mins, so I gotta get ready and leave. I'll be back in about 9-10 hours.
@Zeph I'm sorry are you saying that you like my characters? Or do you think that I dislike Joe? Because I can assure you that is not the case. Joe is epic in every sense of the word.

OoC: @Saltyk My philosophy is that the characters are the most important part of a story. We could have the entire universe on the line, but that universe needs to have characters that people care about, otherwise it carries no wieght. That's why I came up with the Dissida thread idea: It focuses on people, not spiralling plotlines. And staying true to the source material? The only characterisation Lambda got was screaming in pain right at the start of her story. Everything else was either robotic or technically Nu. The Lambda here is practically an OC by this point.

@Salty: I'm saying neither of those two statements. I wasn't even supposed to be talking to you in that comment... Damn Escapist added in @Salty: in the front for some reason... I was saying that the reason why @Salty: likes @Gear:'s characters so much is because of how diverse they are. They all have there own personality and feel, unlike myself who has really only played one character this entire time. I'm not really bashing myself on this either just stating facts.

WAIT! Hold on! I read that last one wrong. I like your characters too.

OoC: @Gear Well, good to know. I appreciate that idea. I always tried to focus on my characters more than their plots. I initially had no intention to bring in a plot when I started. I did create a plot, but I also tried to make my villains all unique with interesting personalities. I tried to explore those at first and mold them as it went. Interestingly, @Nail told me that he really liked Athena.

@Zeph my mistake. I misunderstood. That previous statement looked like Salty > Gear which surprised me.

Anyway, gotta go.

OoC: @Zeph Dude, I'm the one that can only play one character type. Laguna was good but everyone else... they were unique, but meh overall. Besides, Joe is a lotta fun and you get the balance of comedy and serousness just right.
