OoC: Suikoden us a JRPG. Suikoden 2 is a PSOne game and is largely considered the best in the series. It has 3 different endings.

Being the backbone of the Suikoden World that allows the existence of the universe, True Runes are the Gods of the suikoden world. Wholly sentient with its own will, each True Rune holds immeasurable power and has been the cause of many wars in the past. True Runes are often sought by those in power due to its power of granting agelessness to its bearer. All bearers of True Runes stop aging and become immune to disease and all other natural causes of death, although they could still die from physical causes, such as accidents or murder.
No one knows for certain where True Runes came from, but legend tells that the 27 True Runes were created when the brothers, "Sword" and "Shield" fought against each other, shattering itself into 27 pieces.
All True Runes represent a certain power, and bring both benefits and curses to its bearer, such as agelessness, which could be a great benefit and a great curse. Furthermore, a True Rune's sentience, or ego, could often overwhelm novice bearers who do not know how to dominate True Runes. This often results in the reversal of the "master-servant" relationship, reducing a True Rune's bearer into a mere vessel that the True Rune controls to achieve its own purposes.
All True Runes hold a purpose, and this purpose tends to be pursued with no moral consideration due to the fact that True Runes are forces of nature. True Runes may cause its bearer to save lives, but also may force its bearer to kill thousands of people against the bearer's will if it serves the rune's purpose.

"Alright Sonar show her what you're made of." Marcus said as Crobat does a few quick flaps before blasting off towards Staravia as the wind swept passed Marcus, skimming along the ground as a large dust trail flows behind Sonar.
"Use Toxic!" Marcus shouted as the Crobat essentially fired a purple loogy at the bird.

@Demon: What I didn't... OH! No gust was a bad word to use... he's just flying really bloody fast, the gust was just from him flying, not the attack 'Gust'.
OOC: Now I shall explain the Exarch then and why he was so convinced to fight. Short and sweet-ish. Eldar used to rule everything because they were amazing at everything then they got too sexy and wierd and made a God called Slaanesh from their emotions that killed billions of billions with its first physcic breath. To prevent this happening again the Path system was created. This leads Eldar strict discipline over their entire life, locking harmful emotions away by focusing their brilliant minds on one thing at a time. Eldar cannot feel hate for it is dangerous so when they walk the Path of the Warrior they use a method of physcic conditioning to form a war persona that they can assume when they go to war and then remove back home to spare themselves from the memories of war. Simply as I can put it Exarchs are Aspect Warriors who cannot seperate themselves from their war-mask anymore and become 'lost' unable to leave the path but becoming deadly and proficient. Karandras is not the oldest Exarch of the Striking Scorpions, Ahra: Father of Scorpions is but he betrayed the Phoenix Lords and so Karandras, his greatest student, took his place. Short? Im on something crazy here.
Seeing as how Grace was busy with doing something, Erica turned around and went outside again.

"Oh! He's fast! Use Double Team Pvt. Pidgy!" Kathlee shouted. Pvt. Pidgy took off into the air and started moving as fast as he could, to the point where everyone started seeing double. The Toxic attack seemed to pass right through Pvt. Pidgy, as he had already moved passed Sonar and the attack hit an after image.

In the book Korlandril is an Artist who becomes angry at a supposed lovers rejection and so heeds the call of Khaine (Eldar War god who was shattered by Slaanesh) and goes to the shrine to harness his range and anger as a Striking Scorpion.
