'Playing Time' as it is oftentimes called is the affects of branching timelines and folding of such timelines to prevent multiversals horrors from breaking loose. Basically, you sorta 'fold' the outlying universe where you play an entirely different instrument/Sing an entirely different note, and fold that into the main universe. Bassically, its like folding a tree made out of paper into one line.
Does that make sense? Its basically making many universes into one to save up space in a way that can allow many things.
Also, its very dangerous to use it in combat or else you might end up blowing up space and time, because you have to focus on folding it over and fighting, and may make mistakes.
