OOC: @Salty thats what I meant. If Riou and whats his face struggled with a phalanx of Lychguard then no-way could they take on a Phoenix Lord. Now we have apoint of referance for how good Karandras is.

OOC: @Ven just to clarify what happened i wasn't even portraying the Lychguard as the badasses that they truly are. the only reason they stood a chance in that fight is because Nemesor Zahndrekh is a tactical GOD. (Thats right, F**K you creed)
OOC: Lychguard with Dispersion Shields...couldn't you be a good sport and give them War-scythes?
OOC: Hell no. if i gave them warscythes then they would have gotten f**ked up. and dispersion shields aren't to OP (unless Zahndrekh is directing the flow of battle)

OOC: Well if you think about it fighting a horde of lychguard under the command of a tactical master who can adapt to any attack or plan you throw at him might be a little harder then taking one (Rather) supreme character. remember there was 60 of the f**kers.
OOC: Ah but I play my 40k characters more to the fluff than the game. Otherwise anything that ignored armour would screw Karandras up (Still don't get why only Asurmen has an Invulnerable save)

as for the phenix lords i just deal with them via scarab swarms (oh you only have a 2+ armor save? WELL YOUR SCREWED!!!)

OOC: Yeah. Up the points cost on Phoenix Lords, give them all 4+ invul make Baharroth not completely useless along with Swooping Hawks in general. I have never fought the new Necrons and don't plan to. Too much OP nonsense. S10 AP1 lasers, Lychguard, scarabs etc. At least Praetorians are terrible though.
OOC: Even a 5+ invun would make Phoenix lords better, look at vulkan hestan from the ultrasmurf book (3+ ward save with a power wep is just a bit silly). As for the S10 Ap1 things they are (relatively) balanced, to take them on a overlord it costs 30points for a one shot wep and Night scythes are flimsy as f**k (But ill give you Doomsday ark's). Scarabs are only scary to space marines and titans so their not that bad (the -Armour thing only works on multi wound models) and yes Triarch praetorians are the most f**king useless assault infantry in the game (3+ armour S5 2A I2 is terrible, not to mention fearless)

Karandras had watched the Necron attack. It was always so that a human would not realise the threat until it had showed itself. He had singled out a Lychguard earlier, silently taking its head and he held the metallic head with the Scorpion's Claw. He skillfully leapt down from his vantage spot and headed towards the ship.
OoC: Back and read up. Lotta stuff got started last night, huh? Let's see where those plots go.
