My eyes start flickering open. Everything is fuzzy, like trying to see in a pool without goggles. I close my eyes again, then open. I see a familiar face.

Ragna kept walking until he came across a strange ship. It didn't like like NOL, or in fact any airship he's ever seen, but it was still quite heavily armed. He ducked behind a tree, poking his head out and watching for activity.

Shinra was in America in WAOA if I remember correctly, it was the Mishima building that Dromaeus appeared in. Though the fact that the research basements were a viable place to visit was due to Renlen sneaking around, stealing files and investigating the labs for the Portal technology.

Nah, Shinra was in Japan (and also Australia). It was owned by Calley Corp because shenanigans.
Also, Rude was in the basement too. So was Squall.

Was it? I'm pretty sure that it wasn't in Japan after being taken over by Calley Corp... Also Rude came down into the basement of the Mishima building after Renlen had disappeared and Squall was brought through from Ireland via the (unstable) Portal system activated by Renlen.

After wandering through the ship and finding no one, Erica decided to go outside and see if anyone was out there.
Once outside, she looked at her surroundings with a confused look on her face.

Ragna saw someone come out of the ship. She didn't seem armed, but he still had to play it safe. He rolled to another tree, then grabbed the Blood-Scythe, undoing the straps that bound it to his coat and holding it low.

Ragna saw a guy with a tophat coming towards his hiding spot, and heard another one talking about his position. So much for stealth. He waited until the tophat guy was a little closer, then jumped out, sword coming down in a massive overhead swipe.

OoC: @Slenn He was in cover. Tophat only knew he was there because he can sense souls.
