"[sub][sub][sub]My plan...plan to get him back...have to get him back...[/sub][/sub][/sub]" Grace said as she pressed her face Four's neck and hugged her more tightly.
<color=brown>"Maybe you should consider practicing sword skills. They're quite good and useful." Sara said, smiling. <color=brown>"What was that roar?"
The Mason sisters went outside to see what was amiss. Same with Reimu and Gordon.
OOC: Finally caught up from last night. Now to post that big post.
@Trilby "Doing it!"
Charles and Darwin continue walking through Paris. "This has been a particularly unfulfilling trip. Every single business we have been to, whether it was an Inn, bar or a shop of rubbish, has been so understaffed that there were absolutely no one working there! I have a feeling the contract saying 'I now own this place signed me' and the bag of gold that I left on each of the establishment's counters have not been a very good investment..." Charles tuts as he and Darwin turn down a new avenue. After walking down the avenue for a while, they arrive outside an antiques store... which also appeared to be understaffed. "I might as well check to see if there is anyone inside that I can pay for this place. If not I'll probably nick anything that is interesting or remotely useful. Wait here, Darwin." Darwin rolls his eyes and leans against the wall next to the door after Charles goes in. "Anyone here?" Charles calls out as he walks into the store. He is answered by silence. "...Figures. If I wasn't sensible I would think that this city is a ghost town. Might as well see if they have anything valuable." Charles then began combing the shop for anything that looked like it fetch a price, be useful for sticking in people or blowing their heads off or would be a strange/interesting addition to his wardrobe. Due to habit, he returned to the counter and almost called out for service when he remembered there was no one in the store. "Silly me, though I have to find something to carry this stuff in. Let's see here..." He began to make his way behind the counter when he accidentally knocks into a Display Case. "Whoops. Have to be more careful in a small space. ...Wait a tick. How did I not notice this?" he says as he takes a closer look at the Case. Through the top he could clearly see a set of crimson leather and steel armour, a leather strap with two masks attached, a pair of ancient looking daggers etched with runes and a blood red ruby studded into their handles and finally a mask those design that seemed to change before his eyes. "Well aren't you quite a catch." Charles muttered as he open the case and picked up the mask and looked at it. He thought for a moment that he could hear faint whispers as he held it but decided it was just the wind. He turned the mask around and stared at the red and gold fabric backing it before lifting the mask to his face. The mask instantly felt like it stuck to his face as a cloud of black smoke and red electricity burst forth from the mask and swarmed his person and began to spread throughout the store. Items flew off of shelves and display cabinets crashed to the floor as the smoke and electricity passed by. The force blew open the doors at the back of the building and smashed through the windows at the front of the door. Darwin jumped back in surprise as the windows were broken and stared in shock as the smoke and electricity obscured the building as it seemed to grow over its walls. All of a sudden the smoke and electricity rushed back towards its source and was absorbed by Charles' body and the mask. For a moment Charles stood still as a statue with his arms raised up from his sides before he began laughing maliciously. "I'm surprised someone was stupid enough to pick up the mask. Never mind put it on." he chuckled. "Now what do I have here... It appears that a hero was absent minded enough to wear my vessel. Did you not listen to your guild's lectures? I'm pretty certain that they came up with a fair few warnings after my last incarnation. And what is this? I thought I recognised that aura and bloodline. You're part of that family I see. My my, well this is an interesting development indeed." He begans inspecting his clothes. "Although you appear to have good taste, this uniform will never do for my armour and... is that a hammer on my back? Oh no no no no that won't do at all. A blade is always more reliable. And what's this?" he says as he pulls out the Red Dragon from a holster at his belt. "This thing looks use-" he pulls the trigger of the pistol causing it to shoot a round and decapitate a model at the back of the store whilst also causing Darwin to snap out of his stupor and start edging towards the store, The Daichi in his hand. "Well this thing appears to no longer be useless and you have two of them! Excellent! Just a change of wardrobe and I'll be re-" Darwin bursts into the store and gets into a battle stance whilst looking for any assailants. When he doesn't see any, he turns to Charles and looks confused. Charles looks peeved at Darwin through the mask. "Who's this lout then? Some sort of bodyguard? he muses before saying to Darwin "I suppose it won't be a lot of trouble for you to GET OUT whilst I don some more favourable armours. I know you look thick but I'm sure even in that mind of yours something ticks." Darwin gives him a hateful stare before sheathing his sword and heading back outside. "Oh and take this hammer with you. I have something far more suitable." He waits until Darwin leaves before enthusiastically setting about putting on the armour in the case whilst making sure to keep the pistols and their holsters. After he finished dressing he picked up the pair of daggers that had also been in the case. Both of the rubies suddenly began glowing and the runes started glowing and leaving wisps in the air as he twirled the daggers in his hands. He then placed them in his belt and went to the now broken door. He stood in the doorway and breathed in the early afternoon air as Darwin looked suspiciously at him.
He dropped the clothes that he had been wearing a moment ago on the floor before raising a gauntlet to his face and ensuring the mask was secure.
"The Jack of Blades is BACK!"
OOC: Probably won't make another post until after dinner.
OOC: I like how @Nile has rarely come on in the past few days, but makes up for it by condensing a day's worth of text from one user into one text box every time he comes on here. XD
OOC: Gardevoir just has his ear pressed against Grace's door? Because everything she is saying is being whispered so quietly, Four is only able to hear her because she is right next to her.
"[sub][sub][sub]...A-Aaron...I miss him so much...[/sub][/sub][/sub]" Grace said as she broke down into a fresh wave to weeping.
