James smiled and shook Erica's hand.
"Major James Connor, CEQ division." he frowned. "Actually, I don't know why I keep introducing myself as CEQ, probably no one here knows what it is. Force of habit I guess. Anyway, nice to meet you, Erica!" He glanced back to Daniel.
"So Dan, what's your story? You look like an early 21st century kid, but why the sword?"
"Major James Connor, CEQ division." he frowned. "Actually, I don't know why I keep introducing myself as CEQ, probably no one here knows what it is. Force of habit I guess. Anyway, nice to meet you, Erica!" He glanced back to Daniel.
"So Dan, what's your story? You look like an early 21st century kid, but why the sword?"
Daniel stares for a bit then answers. "My Father gave it to me the second time he left. Its the only physical thing, besides myself, I have to remember him by."

"Yeah, I saw a good few people using swords early in the T-Virus pandemic, but when the resistance started to organise and civilian refugees were replaced by regular military in direct combat with the undead, swords were quickly abandoned for more multifunctional weapons, like the undertaker here." he said, and patted the bizarre crowbar- bladed weapon at his hip. "Its been a long time since I've seen a civvy carrying a sword of any kind."
