"I can't help but wonder though, did we have these awkward conversations prior to the incident too?
Or were they more normal back then?
Because I can't figure out if our inability to have a fluid conversation comes from that or if it just me." Erica said to Grace.

"I always felt that we got along well, but I had saved your life several times back then." Grace said as she leaned against a wall.

 

[Chungus]

"Really? ...Or actually, that doesn't really suprise me. I'm a magnet for trouble, I tell you." Erica replied as she sat down and rested her back against the wall opposite from Grace. The contact against the wall hurt, making Erica shoot forwards slightly.
"Exactly how many times did you end up saving my sorry hide?"

"Hmm...at least two...or three, depending on how you look at it." Grace said. She gave a dry chuckle and continued. "It is almost cruelly ironic how hard I fought to keep you out of the hands of that scientist, and yet I am the one who killed you..." she said as she looked at the floor.

 

[Chungus]

"You could say that... But hey, that sounds an awful lot like beating yourself up again.
Seriously, don't do that. Nothing is gained from it.
You made a mistake. A catastrophic mistake, but a mistake none the less.
Look at what you've done, learn from it and move on, I'd say." Erica said, trying to comfort Grace.

"I know...it is just...hard..." Grace said as she continued to look at the ground.

 

[Chungus]

"I understand it must be hard for you. Especially given your position as a healer." Erica said as she got up and stepped infront of Grace. She placed a hands under Grace's shoulder chin and gently pushed her head up so that so to look in Grace's eyes.
"This probally won't make a bit of diferance, but please. Try to forgive yourself.
There's no need for you to suffer like this."

"...Right...of course...thank you..." Grace said as she fought back some tears.

Erica tilted her head. "Are you about to cry?
If so... go ahead.
This may be a wild suggestion, but maybe you can't move on because you keep all this sadness botled up. Perhaps to look tough for the sake of the rest, perhaps for some reason I don't know.
But you shouldn't hold back your tears like this. No one will think any less of you if you cry every once in a while, you know?
So c'mon. Let it all out.
You'll feel better afterwards." Erica said as she lightly hugged Grace.

"I...I feel.." Grace said just before she began crying into Erica's shoulder. "I feel like I have been crying a lot since I joined this group..." she managed to say.

 

[Chungus]

"There's nothing wrong with that." Erica said as she gently stroked the back of Grace's head. "Crying is a way of coping with your problems. The process of healing if you please.
Without first acknowledging your problems, you can never move past them, I believe..."

Grace made no response except crying harder.

I hope I'm doing the right thing here... Erica thought as she hugged Grace tighter.

Grace started to calm down eventually.

When Grace's crying died died down, Erica slowly let loose of Grace and moved back a bit to look her in the eye again.
She gave a gentle smile, but didn't say anything just yet.

"Thank you...thank you again..." Grace said softly before walking back to her room. She did not have the energy to move Four, so she simply undressed and went to sleep.

Gerry fell asleep with Asha and Rose.

Erica smiled and walked back to her room also. Hope that helped. If only a little.
She undressed and climbed into bed, laying on her side.
It wasn't long until Erica fell asleep.

I slowly get up, still thinking about what to give Gerry. Hmmm... Hey, the boy can draw! Maybe he'll draw something I can replicate! It be better than a guess-and-check...

Kissing Gwen, as she was still asleep, I walk outside the ship, using the Koltanium sense that the Vanguards and Wardens honed for me. I noticed... Huh. That shouldn't be fricking possible for a vein to be open like that. It's not that far away either.

Dashing only a 1/4 of a mile away was a vein of Koltanium, completely untapped. I smile. Perfect. Using my Zweihander as a pick-axe, I start shoveling up the ore.

Mining up some ore, I grin happily. A normal fire won't do... Hmmm... Maybe Sara can help? I need extreme heat...

Grabbing all the ore I can, I start heading back to the ship and set it down infront. With my sparring cube, I place the Zweihander over my shoulders again as 15 Crusaders appear again.
