Viktor grew up at the fort of Northwindow. His father died in war when he was serving in the 4th Northwindow Unit and was raised by his mother, Helen and grandmother, Martha. He had a brother called Wil and also lived with Daisy, a war orphan who Viktor's family took in. She was like a sister, but his family wanted him to marry her so that he would settle down. However, this never happened.
One day Viktor was heading to South Window to buy some medicine for his grandmother. When he returned, Northwindow has been sacked by Neclord and all his family has been turned into zombies by Neclord's power. Viktor fought Neclord but was no match for him. If not for the Sacrificial Buddha that Daisy gave to him, he would have died. Viktor searched for Daisy but she was already dead. Apparently she committed suicide thinking that Viktor was dead and she also wished to die rather than being Neclord's wife.
Viktor was the only survivor of this attack and was rescued by those who arrived from Kuskus. He was taken to Kuskus at death's door and nursed by Barbara, who was also from Northwindow. Viktor healed fast and took off immediately to search for the target of his vengeance. He trained furiously and sooner or later he had turned into a formidable swordsman who wielded his sword with brute force and fine skill. During his quest, he ran into many adventures which honed his instinct for survival and his rogue-like tendencies. One thing led to another and he ended up in the Toran Liberation Army.
Initially he wasn't well trusted within the Liberation Army because of his rogue-like tendencies. However, he recruited Tir into the Liberation Army, which ultimately allowed the Liberation Movement to emerge victorious. During the final assault on Gregminster, Viktor was thought to have died along with Flik. However, the truth was that he managed to escape with Flik, but forgot to inform others of that fact.
Since then, the two traveled towards Jowston due to a promise that Viktor made with Anabelle--he promised that he would lead a mercenary group for Muse. It took a few months for him to get to Jowston, but he managed to create a mercenary force and a new fort in Southeastern Muse Principality.
However, during the Dunan Unification War, his force was defeated by Luca Blight's White Wolf Army, forcing him to retreat to Muse. There, he helped Muse defend itself from Solon Jhee's 3rd Highland Army, but was forced to retreat again after [redacted]. He fled to South Window, where he heard of Neclord's reappearance and tried to defeat him at Northwindow, but Neclord escaped. However, Viktor found out that Neclord was trying to take over Tinto and with the help of Kahn Marley and Sierra Mikain, managed to destroy Neclord. After the war, Viktor took off with Flik on a new adventure.
Their journey brought them to a village being attacked by vampires. They met a young man named Edge, whose sister had been taken away by the vampires. They began to fight the vampires, when Edge told Viktor he wanted to be a great swordsman. In response, Viktor lent him the Star Dragon Sword to use, which he did to lay the final blow on the head vampire, rescuing his sister. However, Viktor didn't ask for the sword back, and he left with Flik to go help fight Harmonia in the Higheast Rebellion.
Flik
aka Blue Lighting Flike
He is powerful both in combat and magic, and is a fearless commander. Although he still laments the loss of his lover, Odessa, he seems to be getting over it these days. He was born and trained as a swordsman in the Warrior's Village but left on his journey of Manhood without ever naming his sword.
After being a mercenary for years, he met Odessa whom he fell in love with. He won her heart through his lack of sophistication and willingness to put things into action. He loses Odessa while he was away, and he is unable to forgive himself even after years have passed.
During the Gate Rune Wars, he was the cause of the Liberation Army's infamous attack on Scarleticia Castle, which resulted in the death of thousands of Liberation Army soldiers due to the poisonous pollen of Milich Oppenheimer's monstrous rose, Antoinette. Flik joined the New Liberation Army grudgingly, not accepting McDohl as his new leader. However, he gradually recognized the leadership quality within McDohl and became a willing servant of the cause.
At the end of the Gate Rune Wars, he took an arrow that was aimed at McDohl and stayed behind to keep enemy soldiers at bay while McDohl escaped. He was thought to have died during that last battle, but he actually survived. He traveled north with Viktor along with survivors of the war that he and Viktor collected. After reaching Muse, he formed a mercenary army with Viktor by the request of Anabelle. Thus, he was involved with the Dunan Unificiation War from the very beginning.
After the Dunan Unification War was complete, he went on a journey with Viktor, in which they helped rid Edge's village of vampires. Soon after, they heard of Harmonia invading the Highland section of Dunan, and ventured off to the war to see action in the Higheast Rebellion.
