It starts by killing the body of the afflicted one, but keeping the soul intact by not allowing it do die.
Once the body has died, it starts erasing the soul bit by bit until eventually there is naught left.

Grace hugged Erica around her neck so she did not aggravate her back. "I know, but this is just what Lambda went through. We will find a solution, I promise you that." she said.
OoC: @Berk You'll have to ask @Nailik in case I get a detail wrong, but remember Regulus? He's stuck without a body in the Zero Zone, but due to them both being fragments of the same soul, he and Erica are connected. He's used this connection to give her a hex, essinsially rotting her body and soul from the inside out.

Grace could think of nothing to do or say for a time, so she simply held Erica. "I will look in my book to see if there is anyway to help you with this hex. Would you like to come with me?" she finally asked.
