"There's gotta be a lock on it then." Makoto blushed and looked away as Grace got out from under the covers.
"Welcome to Winterhold, my friends." Wulfgar said cheerfully as everyone passed through the portal.
"It's seen better days." Kharag grunted.
"Yes, indeed it has. I think people prefer to keep away from the college for safety's sake. After that incident a few years before we joined up, it must seem to them like the place is more trouble than its worth, even after all the good publicity the Archmage has worked to raise among the Nords."

Daniel rubbed his hands together. "Its not that cold." he says. "What did you want us here for again?"
Winter's body starts sprouting icicles around her, forming a sort of armor with semi-large shoulder guards.

Makoto waited until Grace lft, then stood and looked at and around the door, trying to find a keypad or something.

Wulfgar turned to face the group, and held up an ancient looking amulet, made of a strangely cloured metal encrusted with a number of gemstones.
"Kharag and I have been carrying out research on this relic, which has been residing at the Mages college of Winterhold for almost a decade. It is commonly known that it was capable of opening a gateway, such as the one that we just came through, to another world, completely unrelated to Mundus. However, something happened, and the amulet lost its ability to connect with this world. We knew that it was not a malfunction of the amulet's enchantment, as it stil had power, but still it could not open a portal. We theorised that if one such world existed and could be accessed via the amulet, then why not others? So we worked for years on it, and finally succeeded. Now, we would have documented much of the new world to prove that we had done this, but bringing you as witnesses is easier, and more believable." Kharag spoke up.
"You can talk when we get to the college, Wulfgar. Most of us here aren't as partial to the cold as you Nords. Come on." With that, he drew a staff from beneath his robes and emitted a silvery magelight from its tip, before striding off into the snow.

Makoto found a small touch-screen keypad by the side of the door. There was a small lock symbol on it. She pressed it, and text appeared.

Grace finished with her shower and walked back to her room, now fully dressed. "Well?" Grace asked Makoto as she walked in.
Makoto looked up at Grace, still leaning over the keypad, tail wagging in irritation. "Found the lock, but it needs a code."
Daniel looks around as he trudges through the snow. Unbothered in a t-shirt and jeans, despite becoming uncomfortable when they became soaked through. "Wait up." he calls, breaking into a lolloping run through the snow to catch up with Wulfgar.
