OoC: @Outis Heroic willpower, and we had a couple shrinky mentor characters that kept people together. Even then, most of the group was pretty fragile.

[To tophat: Then I would do the same to you. Albiet not as harsh as you might, but, as I believe I said when we first met, I would risk my life for my trainer. And I wouldn't kill her, I do not have the nerve. Chances are, I'd just break her.]

Nuzleaf glares at Gardevoir.
"Nuzleaf.(Not helping, whatever you're doing.)"

OoC: Oh, you guys forgot to add Nuzleaf to the list of purple ships

And that's the problem. It got to the point where it really wasn't heroic willpower, it was just characters shrugging off and ignoring massive amounts of mental trauma, and so the question became what was the point of it all? If it did not affect the characters, why did it happen? At least that's how I felt, but shouldn't you be calling it a night?

Rose waved back to Riou as he walked off. "We need to talk. About boundaries and personal space and such." She said to Gerry.

"I don't want to hear excuses. I'm telling you how things are gonna be." Four snarled at Xu.
(To Gardevoir: You don't scare me. If I have to give this punk a beating to make him learn how to be resposible, I will.)

(To Gardevoir: I have defences in place against mental attacks. By the way, why are you threatening Four?)

OoC: @Outis I'll sleep when I'm tired. And the point of it was to try and reach the tipping point, send people over the event horizon so they would either just curl up, completly broken, or go kill crazy. Plus, you get exposed to something on a daily basis, you kinda get used to it. And I don't know about you, but if I could make horryfying visions and mind-breaking lectures, I would do it all the time. For a good cause, natch.

Riou walked over and saw Four talking to Xu. This could be bad. Maybe I should listen in...

OoC: Well, if Riou knew a monster was threatening people, he would kill it. Just a heads up. The only reason he hasn't is that he doesn't think they are sentient, so he blames their misdeeds on their trainer.

Xu backs away from Four, "Hey! Half the time, I can't stop it! Lodicolo's usually the one to knock me dead cold, so she can go on these trips of hers! And the thing is, I can't lock a Pokeball, so she can get out when she wishes, and I can't do anything.."

[To Tophat: She is telling my trainer that, if he does not control forces outside of his control, then she will hurt him.
[To Four: Believe me, if he could, he would. But beating it into him will do nothing, believe it or not. Ask him about his mother. His birth mother.]

Nuzleaf waves to Riou. She pulled out a rock, and began chipping away on the outside.

(To Gardevoir: If he can't control his pets, they'll have to be killed. It's that simple.)

"I know it was you that changed my clothes in my sleep. That's not really something that's acceptable. I'm giving you a pass this time, since I'm thinking you didn't know any better, but if you do it again...I don't know, there'll be consequences." Rose said to Gerry.

Four shrugged at Kitana. "Usually talk with people and fight. That's pretty much all my life is now. In fact, that reminds me..." Four said as she started walking off to the crater near the ship. "Then get rid of it if it's going to keep being a problem. It's your ass that's on the line." She shouted back at Xu.
(To Gardevoir: I don't see what his mother has to do with any of this.)

OoC: @Outis Ok, that is a valid point, but it's not the only outcome of daily torture. Regulus at least had two objectives: cause as much pain as possible and turn the group against each other. Popping in regularly was his attempt at keeping down the morale of the group. Didn't quite work, but he was trying to build an atmosphere, make the group feel like he was this omnipotent, all-knowing devil that could show up and try to break them in body and mind at any moment.

Riou watches as Four walks off. Seems these monsters keep causing problems... I already told him to get them under control. Maybe I should get involved. No, I think Four has b=made her point clear.

OoC @Gear: Regulus had One objective, kill every living thing. Causing pain and infighting was a means to an end, to increase it's own power as it fed ot the anguish and other negative emotions.
Also, as time went by, it's own wish slowly were replaced by the desire to bring all to Chaos.
