Daniel looked up and returned his sword before adjusting his new overcoat. He saw James. Wonder if he still wants to spar? He walks over to him, the overcoat drifting behind him slightly.

James threw a casual salute as Daniel apporached.
"Morning." He glanced around somewhat sheepishly.

"I did not know that. I don't think my world is as advanced as yours. It is an interesting concept, though. But I don't think you quite understand." Riou scratches his chin to think about how to say this. "No one knows much about Runes. Even the most ardent studies know very little. Especially about True Runes. All Runes are know to come from True Runes, though. For example, the Lightning and Thunder Runes, both spawn from the True Lightning Rune. As far as anyone knows, Runes just allow people to tap into various powers of the world. You might know more about that than I would."
OoC: @Wacky I haven't really thought about it. It's a little different, though. In Rose's case, she can't help it. Besides, it's kind of a curse. Something Riou would sympathize with. EMily was actively doing it.

Perhaps, one day, I might be able to meet that meddling nuzleaf of yours, or maybe your perverted Ludicolo. But how close are you to actually becoming the master of your region? I want to see you battle the elite four, but I can't manage to get Hoenn internet here in Unova.

"Well, good luck getting a hold of a True Rune. They are... fickle. True Runes are known to change bearers or locations on a whim. The Rune of Punishment usually just choose whoever was closest when it killed it's current bearer, for example. And if a bearer dies, the True Rune, may just choose to go into hiding for years, decades, even centuries. I don't even know all of them. I've only heard of about 18 of them, and I don't know their current locations, for a lot of those. So, that is easier said than done. Currently, it looks like a pipe dream. One of the few countries I knew that was trying to gather all of the True Runes, was likely doing so more to tap their power than to study them. Which is a whole other issue."
