Getting back up, Austin walks around and sees AEanna and Tophat. He simply walks over to them slowly.
Spring continues slashing her way through waves of Crusaders, Spartan-Classes and regular footsoldiers. "Nothing will stop me!" She jumps into the air as her hands become plasma cannons and she fires directly at the crowd of Crusader Troopers.

"Ah. Then you are also working to cure Erica? We should compare our methods, and cover every possible approach." She turned back to Tophat.
"Ah, so you said that the curse first affects the body, and then the soul? Well, I have been focusing on trying to preserve her soul. What if we could prepare a decoy of sorts?" She shifted the tomes to one arm and with the other, she drew a deep purple soul gem, eerily similar to the one that had been corrupted by Regulus, from a pocket in her skirt.
"I have a soul already trapped in this gem. What if we were to transfer it into Erica's body and bind it in place as you have done with others before? Then we would use some of the alteration magic described in these tomes to change the new soul so that it closely resembles Erica's own. If you could draw out Erica's soul just before the death of her body and store it in another gem, then the curse may affect the replacement soul, leaving Erica's untouched!"

Austin continues towards AEanna and Tophat. AEanna's words are easily heard by Austin thanks to his augmentation with the Crusaders. A soul gem? Hmmm... With Winter... No, it cannot work. Removing forcibly would damage Winter's personality and life... Can't do that... Need to figure out a way to protect my Big Sis.
As Spring's body morphed back to Winter, she turned to look at the damages she had done. Only one Crusader left... Can I use it? The Succubus' power? As she thought, her skin started cracking and giving off a light-blue glow. Her suit reflected the same color as well.

Grace listened to what AEanna proposed, very intrigued.
Gerry finished drawing Makoto and had her help him down. After letting her rest for a bit, he had the idea of drawing her in a similar position while he was on the ground. He instructed Makoto to go back up the tree like she had been before and walked to a spot a fair distance away so he could get a good view.

"Yes, the curse first affects the body, but it is bound to Erica. She used to be situated in a necklace, but a growing black dot in it made us move her. I now believe that this dot was the curse. I'm not sure how the curse is attached, but it looked like this to me."
Tophat sent a memory of Tophat looking at the black miasma around Erica's fragment to AEanna.
"There might be a way to trick it, perhaps if we shut down Erica's soul, the curse would accept the other soul as the original."

AEanna nodded as she listened to Tophat speaking.
"Would we know if it had been fooled in time?" She asked when he finished.

Winter lunged at the last Crusader with her right hand. The Crusader attempted to slash her, but with a quick deployment of Winter's beam sabre, it deflected the slash. Grabbing the arm, Winter twisted it and slammed the jointed area of the arm, and threw the Crusader on the ground.
Glaring at the soldier, she gripped his skull as an icy cold embrace started radiating around her.
"And now.... SHEAR COLD!" Winter's hand suddenly sprouted icicles, impaling and completely destroying the head of the soldier. With the death of the last soldier, the light-blue glow started disappearing. This is an end... No, perhaps a new beginning...

Gerry had finished his drawing and was now adding some final details while Makoto sat next to him.
Winter emerges from the shower, all clean. Getting back to the bridge, she quickly dons her undergarments and Crusader Suit as it has an automated clean-out system. Walking out of the ship she finds Austin, Gerry and Makoto.
