"You can have a toilet visit, as your last request. There are no windows in there by the way."
He banged on the door. "Hey! Can I get this door opened? And a rope please!"
He shouted through it.
AEanna's smile returned as well, small and uncertain, but definitely there.
"Who really knows? Nevertheless, even if I do not owe it to you, you are one of my dearest friends, and I would spend many more sleepless nights working for this cure."
"Right, now that we've stopped feeling sorry for ourselves. Just what is this cure?" Erica asked AEanna as she back away, though Erica was still holding AEanna's hand.
AEanna flinched as Gerry presented the snake to her.
"Ah.. you hold onto that for now." She looked back to Erica.
"Well, the plan is that we shall transfer the soul stored in this soul gem to your body. Then I will alter it to resemble your own soul, guided by Tophat. Once that is done, Tophat will shut down your soul and -hopefully- that will force the curse to transfer its effects to our duplicate. Then we will simply remove the cursed soul, and transfer it to that creature." She gestured at the snake.
