James rushed to Joel's side and dropped to one knee. A brief glance at the arrow told him that it was a mortal wound, and he drew his sniper rifle, scanning the trees.

OOC: @Trilby I call it not much fun. Things are best on this RP when they actually accomplish something.

The arrow looks very nice. Obviously, whoever made it took great care in picking the best wood and flights.
It's sort of ruined by the blood on it.

OOC: It wasn't actually MEANT to be pointless. I was actually going to do some stuff with Joel if it didn't end up like this.
My 'actual new character' was the one I had in reserve for this going south. Which I was pretty sure would happen, but I thought that, if it didn't, it would be good for character development.

James caught up with the Mason sisters quickly and slowed to a more cautious pace as he searched the trees with the holo-sight on his P90, his enhanced senses picking out the rustle of every leaf.
