More than a few bearers didn't use their power very often. Ted, who originally possessed the Soul Eater Rune, the Rune of Life and Death, lived for 300 years as a nomad to escape those who pursued him. He starts off in party of Tir, the hero, but never uses his Rune until they ace off against a monster that the group just can't beat. He crushes it in a single attack. Because of this, he was discovered, and had to ask Tir to take the Rune to keep it out of his enemies hands, knowing full well, what that would mean for his friend.

As for Riou's curse... Have you not been paying attention? He healed Four. Then Fainted. He has on several occasions experienced great pain for no apparent reason, and has even stated that he is dying because he has been rejecting his Rune's goals for over 100 years (Do you think his Rune cared about Four, for example). It's almost like I am being subtle. The reason he doesn't bother anyone with it, is that they literally can't help. Not directly, anyway. Plus... other reasons (such as my plot is for the TDM thread). It's almost like I have a plot!

He uses his powers to make the best of a bad situation. What else can he do? Also, he has primarily used his level one and two spell from his Rune. He has only used the level 3 spell in one fight and never the level four.
Oh, and Winter keeps her curse and uses it, too. Pot meet kettle.

OOC: @Drak. It may be because I'm drinking sake at the moment and my memory is kinda impaired but, can you remind me how Winona and Conall powered up Lorcan from the last fight?

Grace lifted herself off of the ground and then pounced on the dragon with her knife out, stabbing at it's back and neck, making it feel very weak.

Gerry continued to fire at the armored foe.

The Dwemer lines up the shot again and shoots.Brinnks makes a invisibltly potion and The Dwemer drinks it.He runs up to the armour still invisble.And starts to bring out some bombs

"Okay, it still shrugs off a level three Thunder Rune spell... Let's try something different." Riou says as he jumps back to put some distance between him and the dragon, but quickly puts his right hand up, creating a shield of green energy to protect him and anyone nearby from the flames. "Shining Light!" A small shield symbol appears over his hand as the shield erupts into several beams of pure green energy that strike at the dragon.

"So you've said.
Still, you can drunk without getting drunk, you know? Like as I'm doing now. It just takes some self-restraint." Erica said as she chowed down on her meal.

 

[Wackymon]

Joah rolls out of the cloud of metal shavings, blinded. He slowly rises up, blind and unable to see. Xu returns him to his Pokeball, watching from... somewhere. He groans as he releases Lodicolo. She giggles in glee at her chance to battle, and maybe even get hurt... she liked that.
She charges at Lorcan, her eyes glowing blue. She jumped into the air, a wave growing to meet her feet. Soon, there was a wave, 34 feet tall, and at its crest is Lodicolo, smiling like a madmon, like she's 'Surfing'. The waves Crashes against him, full force, knocking him and anyone near him down to their feet, covering them with a wall of water. She follows this up by rising into the air on a large column of water, swirling around it quickly, before arching back down and hitting him with it also, making an almost Waterfall like effect.

The wind seems to pick up, almost as if someone from the future saw this coming.

Gardevoir see's the attack from the dragon, and begins to panic. Hetries to doges, but the attack ends up knocking his down a fair bit. He jumps up, and begins to run around, his eyes glowing a bright red this time. he jumps onto the Dragons back, and releases another wave, this time red. It hits the dragon, slightly weaker, but causes the dragon to feel awfully confused, and swears that its leg looks exactly like Riou, and its tail like Gardevoir. Its almost someone used Confusion
Gardevoir then feels his own attack come back at him, and shakes a fair bit, but it didn't cause much harm, and failed to paralyze.

The Dragon's wild flailing caused it to smack Grace aside as she went to stab it. However, it was cut by her before it hit her. It started to seem genuinely concerned at that point. It flew off into the air with great speed, knocking Gardevoir off its back and quickly put distance between the group and itself, effectively retreating from the battle and avoiding the other attacks thrown at it.

The combination of frozen bits of armor and Gerry's tenacious firing had drastically slowed down Lorcan. The Dwemer's explosions tore apart more brittle chunks of Lorcan's armor.
Lorcan's still great mass allows him to stay anchored to the ground after being hit by Ludicolo's wave, seeing as how he weighed more than most boat anchors. He managed to raise his fist and punch Ludicolo back into the air as she came down, knocking her even higher than how high she had been in the waterfall. The water helped to warm his armor and make it less brittle.
He smacked his fists together again and his armor started to move and shift, becoming unblemished, but now he was only 4 feet tall. He stomped and made another, much more massive cloud of metal shaving around himself. His stomp also knock Makoto off balance and made her fall over and hit her head on a rock, knocking her out.

@Slenn: Remember how after Conall blew up Australia, another tower like the one in Rio came up? That's all I'm gonna say out of character on that matter.

Erica simply shrugs in responce to Athena and finishes her meal. "Ahh... Right.
I've had enough. I'm well and truly stuffed!" She said as she picked up the plate and put it in the sink.

1) Could care less about the other rune bearers. They are not in the thread.

2) You're not being subtle. At all. It was pretty obvious that the rune doesn't give a damn about anybody else. And yet he continuously rejects the goal? That's major stupidity on the highest level, that he should just killing himself or find another bearer to carry the rune.

3) Of course she has the curse, but she barely used it.

Over the course of the thread, there was only one mention that she absorbed a human, necessary to clean up the hospital at the end of the last thread, and for her to make that Memory Shard for Four. The armor, elemental powers, split personalities are not much of a curse, they are the 'gift' part of the "paranoia"... The Succubus's power of gripping the enemies head and exploding it was only used once so far.

Winter grunts from the energy ball, ignoring most of the pain. Though the Vaisaga armor is an armor, it is a neural connected armor.

"Feh. Fine..." Winter stashes the sword away on her back. The hands of her Vaisaga armor grow long Wolverine-like claws that detach from the armor. Winter then hurls them into the metal shaving cloud. Once close enough into the cloud, the claws explode.

Austin dives out of the way from the fire and tail attacks, and from a prone position, materializes an RPG-like Launcher and fires at the Dragon. The rocket breaks into three smaller and faster rockets and explode on the belly area of the Dragon.

Winona almost got caught by the sword, but thankfully, EMily flung it out of the way and back at Lorcan with a magnetic tug. She supplemented the attack with an electron beam.

Winona pushed forward and shot out another neutron stream.

Sara shot out another fusion burst from her sword at the dragon.

Gwen assisted with Sara against the dragon by firing a volley of dark matter bombs.

Reimu decided to take a breather behind a tree and recuperate. Her seals were exhausting her energy more than she expected.

OOC: If the attack is super effective, then I might as well keep using it. XD

@Drak: If it's ok with you, I'm going to do a charged attack that has Joe prepare this turn and attack in Group 2 if it's ok?

Joe started to draw a large crane with a crazy large boom and everything. Once he was done he'd draw a wrecking ball onto the end and have it swing to hit Lorcan. Joe would have his goggles on impact.

Spoiler: Drak, just thought to post this ahead of time.

Lodicolo flies through the air, taking it like a boss. She lands to the ground, and rolls around. She slowly rises up, and smiles. She wanted more.
Lodicolo, knowing what the metal dust did, began to launch another wave at Lorcan, followed by another waterfall. This time, the water was somewhat below freezing, about 31 degree's Fahrenheit. Almost as if someone Surfed a Waterfall.

Then, it happened.
The Future Sight Gardevoir used earlier finally came to effect. Right in Lorcan's face, there came a ball the size of a boulder hit his face, causing a bright flash of light, and literally blowing up in his face in a volley of colors, spanning the entire light spectrum. The explosion had enough force to cause him to stagger.

Gardevoir begins to fall, and lands on the ground. He felt weaker as He slowly got up. He saw the metal, and decided to watch what was going on from a distance, using Future Sight again, knowing his older one was set off.
He slowly got up, and his eyes grew red once more. He focused on what looked like Lorcan, and let lose a psychic wave at him, not only making him feel like he was just slapped with a fish covered in nails, but also very confused. His arm now looks like Winter, and his leg now looks like EMily. You could say he's in a state of Confusion.

The Dragon had taken off almost like a jet after it retreated, causing Sara, Gwen, and Austin's attacks to miss by a mile.

Lorcan managed to avoid Winter's attack thanks to his obfuscating cloud. He barely avoided his own sword, which came out the other end and threatened to hit Riou.
He blew out as Winona pushed forward, pushing out some of the metal cloud to engulf and blind her. Then he pulled a sword from his armor and charged at her, aiming to cleave her in two. "Not very smart, are you?" He remarked as he swung. He howled as he was hit by her attack, slowing him down somewhat.

@Outis: Well too bad. I already gave you one anyway!
@Zeph: Fine with me.
