"No, you don't need a reason. I was just wondering if you did!" Asha said as she hugged Gerry and kissed him again, then went back to her doodling.

"I'll, uh, take that as a yes." Four said as she brought her head back out of the med-bay and started wandering around again.

And the girls went off to bed.

Grace shook her head and headed to her room.

Gerry happily laid with Asha.

Asha smiled at Gerry and cuddled up closer to him as she continued to draw. After a while she drifted off to sleep.

Four yawned and headed off to her room. She passed through the bridge on her way there and gently kissed Winter and Gwen on the foreheads and smiled. Then she went to her room and fell asleep.

OOC: Guess I'll go to bed now.

Gerry and Grace both fall asleep.

Daniel awoke panting. Sweat rolled off his brow and he looked around his cave desperately. Rubbing his eyes he gazed again. Stumbling to his feet he felt light headed and fell over again, he lay there for awhile to gain his bearings.

I have principles, everyone does. Its just...I wish I could stick to them.

 

[Random berk]

James yawned and pulled himself into a sitting position. A quick glance around at the others who slep in the communal quarters told him that everyone was still asleep, but he knew that he would not be able to drift off at this point. Instead he got up and went outside the ship, enjoying the relative cool of the early morning. Finding the same tree stump where AEanna had been carving the previous night, he sat down and turned on the old silver iPod that he had kept on him since he found it, a faraway look on his face as he listened to the unfamiliar music.

Daniel stumbled through the woods. Still out of breath he made his way to the clearing.

With the headphones in his ears, James did not hear Daniel crashing through the trees as he normally would.

OOC: Eh, whoever is up for some deeper character backstory than 'I'm a badass supersoldier who kills zombies for a living' is welcome to approach.

Daniel looked over the clearing, it was heavily battle-scarred now. Splintered trees and the smell of burning. He stared wide eyed at the destruction.

Austin gets up from the medbay and takes a quick shower. Grabbing his Crusader suit he walks outside and spots James. He gives him a salute.

Winter take a long shower... and is this in there.

Daniel idily picks his way around small craters and scorch marks. James looked miles away and he hadn't met the other man who had emerged from the ship. There was no-one to inquire about the situation.

Winter finally gets out of the showers, her towel over her shoulders. Getting back to the bridge, she kisses Gwen and quickly gets herself dressed.

James glanced up slowly and saw Austin's salute, then returned it unenthusiastically. He still looked distant and troubled.

OOC: Shit, thought I hit the post button already.

"Something troubling you?" Austin asks.

Winter finally gets herself dressed and walks over to Four's room, seeing that Four was still asleep. She kisses her as well. Finally leaving, she heads over to the kitchen to fix herself an energy drink that she usually has. Making a pitcher of it, she pours several glasses and returns the pitcher back into the fridge and starts heading towards the exit of the ship.

Dumb-founded, Daniel looked down at a the floor to see a huge claw mark. He looked around to see if anyone else was awake yet.

 

[Random berk]

James took the headphones from his ears.
"I'm just, listening to some music. I figure that since we're stuck here without much going on, I might as well listen to some new stuff." He was quiet for a moment, then let his gaze fall on the old iPod in his hand.
"This belonged to my brother." He said, smiling slightly. "He used to give it to me whenever he went ahead on scouting runs, in case he might lose it. We didn't have much left of our old lives at that point, but he kept this safe. Felt that things like old music should be preserved whenever possible."

"A brother huh?... And since you have it... I'm guessing that he never came back from one of those runs did he?"

Winter comes outside holding a tray of her energy drinks. She walks over to Austin and James.
