A hint of good humour returned to James's face as the right corner of his mouth twitched upwards. His burns appeared marginally better as well.
"Like I said, apart from the T-Virus related stuff. Before the pandemic my family and I were as normal as you could find. Well, I was still an experienced sailor and third Dan black belt, and Mike was... well, he was fairly unremarkable at the time. But you know, there wasn't a squirrel person, or time traveller or ex-immortal spirit among us."

Winter sighs and looks down.

"I never expected people to be kind. Life by itself is cruel. Humanity only joined up once. After that, we went back to fighting each other, and the main threat that forced us to join together is still out there. Old habits die hard, or stay. I'm sorry that I expected the same thing from you. I'm a terrible person to assume such things."

She turns and walks into the medbay.

OOC: Hey @Zeph! I saw the Proton Pack/Ghost Buster Joe that you drew. Great stuff! Joe ain't afraid of no ghosts!

Jack stood leaning against the end of Four's ship brooding. He knew that the beast man had been bent on rummaging through his pockets and had that suspicion confirmed when he had discovered the Olive Green Orb missing from his bag. "Oh but I will have my revenge." he muttered as he unsheathed one of his daggers and gently rubbed the red ruby embedded in its handle. "I will."

The figures who had arrived by Portal the night before awoke and emerged from their makeshift shelter. "Trust you to get the direction wrong." "Hey there was a slight malfunction with the drive they were saved on but now at least we look a little weather worn which will help our story." The girl rolls her eyes. "Its possible." The three figures dismantled the shelter and began heading in the right direction.

 

[Slenn]

<color=blue>"Don't forget about your reading, Winona." She said, her voice sounding a little bit deeper in tone. She knew that it wasn't a bug, so she held back the reflex of swatting.

<color=darkgreen>"I know, I know."

 

[Chungus]

"Heh. But really, compared to the merry band assembled here, I'm willing to bet every place looks ordinary!" Erica remarked.

Joe continued to fly around the sky some more.

Grace follows Winter.

Gerry wakes up and goes outside. He is a bit unnerved by the charred remains of the jungle around him, so he tries to focus on his drawings.

Winter finds Austin sitting in the medbay. "Hey sis!"

"I sensed that you activated the fake death pill, no?"

"Yeah..." Winter sighed. "At least you remembered the revival pill. That's all."

 

[Random berk]

"Yeah, they certainly must."James replied. "They certainly must."

OOC: Should probably have both characters around at this stage, actually.

As James and Erica spoke, AEanna sat across the clearing finishing her dragon sculpture. As she worked, she sang softly to herself, a mystical old breton folk song that she had heard some time ago.

"Hey Gerry!" Joe hovered the scarab fairly close to Gerry, but still out of reach. The dome Joe was in was visible as Joe waved to Gerry.

Winona smiled and relaxed as she saw the world around her. She did so until Joe would stop the machine.

Gerry gave a small wave to Joe.

Grace waited near to Winter.

"Unfortunately for us, much of the... less desirable things that are in our original worlds tend to follow us to the world we happen to be in. It wouldn't suprise me if this T-Virus showed up.
...Actually, according to Tophat. It did. It was in the last world we visited." Erica said to James.

OOC: @Zeph I should really do something like drawing. At the moment, I'm just waiting mostly for info from my Uni and test results.

Eventually the three figures arrive at the clearing and step out from the forest. The figures consist of a man in a green suit with a green trilby on his head, a girl in a green dress and a robot of average height with a rather strange red stain down one side of its body. They look rather weathered whilst they patiently wait for someone to notice them.

Austin hopped off his seat. "Well I'm patched back up."

Winter turns to Grace. "Thank you for healing Austin..."

"Winter, what did you mean by 'The true me'?"

"Your life was mirrored to be like mine. At age 18, you lost someone dear to you to try and break you. Cecile Cousland. The Crusaders spent 3 years trying to make another Perfect Assassin, and they almost succeeded until..."

"You showed up, freeing us. You know how indebted I am to you."

"There is no reason to be. You didn't break. You're life is still right around the corner. As is mine, thanks to everybody here. Here Austin, we are free from the chains of reality that bound us there. People here..." Winter turns to Grace and smiles. "Are willing enough to understand. And I thank them for that."

 

[Random berk]

"Is that so?" James asked, troubled by the thought. "I guess its possible. If I could stumble into this world without even noticing, a few Zack could easily do the same. I've yet to see any of the locals of this world alive, so I don't know how they'd cope with it, or even if they already have bigger problems to deal with. For all we know, the bunch that that Chanda ***** runs with could have done for half the planet already."

AEanna finished her sculpture and held it up to the light, admiring it. As she did so, she caught sight of an unnatural shade of green and focused on the appearance of three figures at the edge of the clearing. Immediately she stopped singing and called out.
"We have some guests!"

OOC: @Hatchy: Well there has been a few plot fights as @Drak got his net back. Umm, @Jort introduced a new character. Ummm, Erica's curse/hex got cured/removed. Conall escaped and has now joined the big bads and I think that is it?
