I did well, and rose quickly to be accepted as a master of Destruction and Restoration. However, it was not until a representative of the Thalmor stationed at our College was corrupted by an ancient artifact and killed the Archmage that I was given my chance to show my worth. I went and found the Staff of Magnus, a weapon that allowed me to return, breach his wards and destroy him, saving Winterhold from his madness. For that, it was deemed that I had the power, strength and wisdom to become the new Archmage, and youngest in the College's history."
