"Erica is right." he muttered, his voice dull and distant. "I've been fighting for years. I've had to kill so many people. Family, friends, children, I've seen so much death, I can't even see other solutions any more."

"If it's any comfort, whatever you have done is not nearly as bad as what I've done."

Joe began to stir in his hammock drawing on the inner wall of the ship.

Erica still sat against the ship, being angry and annoyed. She saw AEanna a short distance away and decided to go say hello. AEanna did always had a calming effect on her.
"Hello." Erica simply said as she approached.

@Zeph: Huh. Well thank you.

AEanna glanced up at Erica as she approached and wondered what to say. Seeing her again brought back memories of the previous night, how she had had to attack both her old friend -again- and the only living Dwemer that she had ever seen, and how her subsequent anger at them had almost caused her to neglect Erica's healing.
"Hello Erica." was her only response.

Erica sat down next to AEanna, but for a long time, didn't say anything.
"What's up?" She eventually asked, although she didn't sound particulary interested.

 

[Random berk]

"There is much on my mind." AEanna admitted. "It seems to me that you are troubled as well."

 

[Chungus]

Erica sighed and looked down at the ground. "I'm rarely not troubled." She remarked as she ran her finger in the dirt through the cracks in the tiles.
"You go first. What's bothering you?"

"Yeah... that must've been horrible. I wonder what caused this tower to just pop up and snatch everyone's souls."

AEanna was silent for a minute, trying to measure her words, sure that they were on the edge of further conflict.
"The fight last night. After the dragon landed." She said simply, deciding to leave the confrontation in Erica's control.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"It would stand to reason that who ever did this needs the souls of these people for something." Grace said as she walked.

 

[Kirke]

"I was preparing to battle him in his mind. That can be very dangerous for a mind, and he could have died from it."

 

[Chungus]

"What of it" Was Erica's initial responce. She then sighed and closed her eyes.
She took a couple of deep breath, opened her eyes and wiped the dirt on her finger on her pants before placing her hand on AEanna's.
"Why are we being like this? It's as if we suddenly hate eachother."

@Nailik I cocede to that. You are doing a great job with Erica, moreso then you did with Regulus IMO.

OoC: @Nailik No problem. I appreciate a good villan as mush as I do a good hero, but I honestly think Erica is the better character. I actually care about what happens to her, and honestly I was pretty bummed when Regulus took over back in thread 2.
