Sable doesn't allow the returned potion back through the portal, and it hits it like a wall, detonating.

No the brain opened one of its own portals, simply sending the potion outside the ship so it didn't hurt Joe. I didn't send it back to sender.

ooc: Gotta do something to make you guys take action. Screwing up home base sounds like it would make you guys mad enough to storm Castlewood and liberate it from Valentine. Plus, it makes an easy cover for sending notes.
