In the clearing, a now familiar flash of electricity heralded the opening of a portal and AEanna stepped through in her Archmage's robes. In her left hand was a staff of a mysterious bronze-like metal, topped by a shimmering green orb that hovering between four curving prongs.
James glanced up briefly as she arrived, then returned to inspecting his weapons. He had said little since he spoke with Tophat, almost two days ago.

Erica entered the kitchen and grabbed an apple because she still didn't know what else was edible and what wasn't.
She sat down and gave Tophat a small wave. "G'morning!"

No, what annoyed me is all the indecision. I would have been fine with you saying you did not want Makoto and Lambda to interact and stayed firm with that decision, but when I tried to move past the situation, you reveal that you were going to do it anyway and you were just wasting time.
