AEanna sighed with relief.
"That is good news at least. Fortunately when I returned to the College, I picked up another of our old artifacts." She tapped the base of her staff against the floor.
"This is the staff of Magnus, a weapon of great, and I admit still somewhat mysterious power. It has the ability to drain a mage of their magicka, their reserves of arcane energy, and if it's target has none, then it will drain their life force instead. I hope it will come in useful against our present foes."

Kefka had been watching Willian and his 'employer' from a distance under the veil of a Vanish spell.

AEanna took a step back from Erica and adopted an expression of mock indignition.
"I am not some thug to be feared! I am a healer and a scholar! I just feel it wise to be able to defend myself. And yes, you are right. We must learn the nature of the source of this explosion. I wonder if it was a trap rune of some kind..." As she puzzled over the issue, she noticed the two strange men who had entered the room, one a colossal balding brute and the other a sly looknig man in a white coat.
"And who are these men?" she asked curiously.

Grace kept Winter from falling to the ground and sat in a chair, still holding her close. She began to see if there was anything else wrong with her.
AEanna laughed.
"Do not worry Erica, it was a joke! I am not offended." She glanced at Medic and her mood became serious again.
"Then we are in your debt. Thank you for helping our friend. And you have my compliments as well. An injury severe enough to paralyse someone like that is no simple task to heal, and usually requires an expert in restoration."
