James's arms began to shake as Scarlet disappeared, and then suddenly, he seemed to snap. He jerked the barrel of his P90 up and opened fire, emptying the 50 round mag into the air high over the ship in under 4 seconds. When it clicked dry he hurled the weapon away from him with a furious roar before standing with his shoulders hunched and hisfists tightly clenched, breathing deeply. His eyes were blazing red, and much of his face was striated with slightly pulsing, veinlike lines of the same glowing red.
