Hearing the sound of a fist striking flesh, James spun around and saw Winter. He shook his head in surprise at the severity of her reaction, then marched over hurriedly. As she went to strike herself again, he caught her wrist gently, stopping her, and fixed his burning eyes on hers.
"What in Christ's name are you doing?" He said, urgently, but not angrily.
"How can you live with such a decision? How do you go on knowing that by saying no, you could stop it?" AEanna asked, her eyes pleading.
