Tophat's bullet harmlessly bounced off Anger because of Kefka's Protect spell.
It landed infront of AEanna and laughed, it did so merely to mock AEanna as it could no longer feel joy.
"Did thou not hear? I am always two steps ahead!" It said before unleashing a dark energy wave from its body, knocking her and anyone else who happened to be nearby away.
"What manner of mutant be thee? Crawl back into a tree." It said to Makoto.

"Less staring, more handing over my Magicite!
I know you have it... I can hear its sweet cries." Kefka said to Grace, laughing as he did.
He then cast a Fire spell at Grace, blasting her with a piller of fire.

AEanna feels something coming out of her pocket. As she does whatever she does to see what it was she sees Joe's head come out of the pocket. "Gah! It's stuffy in there!! Oh hi AEanna!" Joe says as only his head seems to even be in the pocket, his body still stuck through the pocket drawing.

James cursed as his shots were deflected before they could strike Valentine's head.

AEanna was thrown back by the blast and lost her grip on the staff. Hitting the ground hard, she struggled to her feet, ignoring the pain of the fall, and glared at Regulus/Anger.
"Perhaps, but you underestimate us!" She shouted. "You have lost much of what gave you your power, and the years since our last meeting have only increased mine!" As she spoke, she conjured a great explosive ball of fire between her palms, and hurled it at Regulus. She didn't hear Joe's voice over the roar of the fire.
