Athena coughs using her cloak to cover herself, protecting her from it to an extent thanks to the properties of the cloak, but it still causes her to drop to her knees. "Damn, *****. I'll get you." With what little strength she can muster, she holds up the Staff and fires a bolt of electricity at Shiva, before collapsing.

Erica feels compelled to hold up her hand.

He put down the binoculars and held his hand over the phone.
"Get down there and pick up that girl."
He said to an african soldier standing next to him. After a short while, a helicopter speeded towards Makoto's position.

The combined attacks of Athena and James finally dropped Shiva. Her body shattered like glass, leaving a piece of Magicite behind. It steadily layed on the ground, despite the hard winds.

"Something... is... calling me..." Erica mumbled in responce to both Tophat and Riou.
She walked towards where the Wind Rune was, holding up her hand as she did. The extremely powerful gales tore at her flesh, but still she persisted.

Anger laid the broken Valentine down on the floor and began healing her by sending its black aura flowing into her.
Her bones began realigning and her torn flesh knitted back together.
"Err... you seem to have a icicle sticking out of your head." Kefka remarked.
"I am well aware of that..."

AEanna slowly rose to her feet, groaning softly at the pain in her crudely healed back and fighting the fatigue from the staff. Between the two, she suddenly felt as though she had aged a few hundred years, and leaned on the staff for support.

I will be fine, Tophat. Regulus just gave me a taste of how the staff of Magnus feels.
