Why waste your effort attacking their mind, when a blade between the ribs is much more direct and effective at riding them of their wretched lives? That seems pointless and fruitless to me."

"You mimic my Master's thoughts exactly." Zbigniew said to Anger. "The mind is always the most vulnerable part of a mortal. Twist it and warp it and you can make mortals kill each other, or reduce them to sniveling wrecks, unable to defend themselves."

Luca scoffs. "There are still easier ways to accomplish that. Beat them to the point that they know they are about to die and allow them to beg for their pathetic little lives. Just when they think that you will actually spare them, kill them anyway. Much more straightforward and direct."

"I understand the sentiment...but that's not really something I can do." Rose said, looking down and sighing.

"Having mortals kill each other is simple efficiency. Why waste one's own effort when you can pit brother against brother? With but a single well placed pawn I spread misery and hatred among our mutual foes. Even a brute such as yourself should recognize the value of psychological warfare." Zbigniew said, not facing Luca, but clearly intending what it said for him.

"Easier said then done, I suppose. But, know this. If you don't think of the future, it will hit you in the face, when you least expect it." Jowy replied to Rose, while looking up at the ceiling.
