James didn't respond to AEanna, keeping his sights on the dragon, his face screwed up in grim readiness. AEanna turned to confront him.
"James, Erica told me that she believes that this dragon does not bear evil intent against us! That it will not attack unless we give it a reason!" James snorted derisively, but otherwise did not budge.
"No offense, but what the hell does Erica know about dragons? Or about judging the intent of a potential enemy?" AEanna suddenly stepped right in front of him and he quickly lowered his rifle with a wordless exclamation of enraged protest. She cut him off with a single long finger raised to demand silence.
"I do not know dragons either, beyond what I have heard in stories, but I trust Erica." She snapped, before turning and regarding the dragon with an uneasy gaze. "Let us see what it does first."
