Erica wasn't facing Daniel directly, and so closing her eyeswas enough to stop her getting dazzled by the flash of light when Daniel changed.
"We couldn't risk that." Erica said to Riou. "Anyway, I was just the bridge crossing the waters here.

Grace noticed a bright flash of light and wondered what it was. She then waved to Makoto. "So you will not swim with me, but as soon as I leave the water you jump in?" she asked in a lighthearted manner.

"I've never done this before." Daniel began. "Keeping this secret kept me and others safe." He stopped biting is nails. "But here I saw the chaos my appearances had created. My father may have left me and I still will hold that against him but he taught me well."

"Then things should be far less complex among the group now that they know you are not a threat to them. And if any refuse to let go of their prejudices, then I will gladly offer any assistance that I can in dealing with them.
