"Guys, Erica's over here! She's hurt! We need to stick together!" Makoto turned to Erca. "Just one second, they should be here soon." She looked at Grace. "Boy am I glad to see you."

She said as she gritted her teeth, while she looked all around her.

"Gwen... Mass detection. Where is that thing that dragged Erica?" Winter said.

James heard Makoto's shout and began to head that direction, deliberately, slowly, scanning the surroundings. He hoped his rifle would provide the necessary penetration to kill the alien this time, but he'd only have time for one shot.

 

[Chungus]

Erica didn't respond to Tophat, too focused on trying to stop the Lictor. "Gotcha. This bloody hurts, you know?!" She shouted to James. She raised her left hand, ready to strike the Lictor. The arm was dripping with blood as it seeped from from a wound in her shoulder.
She nodded in responce to Makoto, then looked at Grace. "What she said..."

"I would appreciate it if you kept a watchful eye out so that I can work without being ambushed." Grace said to Makoto calmly as she started to heal Erica's wounds.

The Lictor was right next to where it had left Erica, remaining completely still so it blended with the trees. Its started to slowly stir to life, scything talons slowly raising.

"I know that well enough Erica, yeah!" James called back, keeping his pace steady, heading directly for her while watching for any sign of movement or a disturbance in the air.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen concentrated even more to find it at a distance.
<color=purple>"Xenomorph detected in that direction. It's sitting just nearby Erica. Be careful." She pointed.

Makoto nodded to Grace, then turned and saw something rustling in the foilage. She squinted at it, and realised it was the Lictor slowly moving to strike. "Watch out!" She charged a punch, and ran forward, unleashing a right hook.

A low gurgling is heard beside those around Erica. It charged from the brush, spittle dripping from its feeder tendrils as it was somehow discovered. Makoto was the aggressor and its hard wired reflexes kicked in as it went to stab Makoto with a lightening quick strike from its talons before she was in range.

OOC: Talons are the scythed limbs that raise above its body, these are quick and quite long ranged for a melee attack. Claws are its more traditional clawed hands, used to defend itself up close.

James heard Makoto's shout again, and picked up the pace, hurrying towards them while keeping his rifle as steady as possible for a quick shot.

 

[Chungus]

Erica heard Makoto and panicked. Without thinking, she wenched around and blasted another gale in the direction of the gurgling noise.

Valentine dashed to wear Erica and Grace were.

She said as she stood in front of them.

She said as she raise her right hand and Grace, Erica and herself in a strong reflect barrier
I can only hold this for a short time, use this moment to heal
She said to Grace as she concentrated.
they could still hear and see everything, but anything they saw would be more red then usual.

Grace began bringing Erica back to he ship.

OoC: Well, Makoto is fast, but not THAT fast, so...

The talon strike pierced through Makoto's shoulder. She gasped, then jumped back, putting a hand over the wound. "Need a little help here!"

The three aided Grace bringing back Erica, weapons out in the direction of the alien. They fire in the direction of it, easily missing Makoto in the cross fire.

The Lictor screeched and pursued its target, advancing on Makoto. Both of its Talons raised to strike once again. It stumbles back under fire and leaps backwards out of sight with a screech.

OOC: Lictors are assassin units. used to tie up heavy weapons squads are take out lone units. They aren't very durable though. When I used to play Imperial Guard I had a Squad of 10 Imperial Guardsmen get ambushed by one. guardsmen are average in every way, no differant from a modern day human. the Lictor hit first an killed one Guardsman then my Sergeant hit back and killed it.

James reached the area where Erica had been and saw Makoto facing down the Lictor, its massive talons bearing down on her. Without leaving the foliage he levelled his rifle and targeted the beast's head.
"Remember me, you ugly son of a *****?" He whispered before pulling the trigger and sending a 7.62 round tearing towards the side of its skull.
