On the bridge of the flagship, another alien marched toward the bridge. This one was different. Though it shared the two digits of the other race, its body was as stout as that of a large human male, and it wore armour that somehow seemed more antique than the hardsuits of the other race. It wore no helmet, and its skin resembled that of a grouper fish. Its skull flared out in a wide angular disclike shape, with a long, austere faceand a prominent jaw. Four yellow eyes darted from side to side, each pair independant of one another, as it approached the prefect. Unlike the others it wore no helmet, seemingly impervious to the lack of breathable air.
"What happened? Why have we slowed down?" It asked brusquely.
"We don't know yet. We've reached Earth, and we know that we made the jump to another universe, but we didn't make it to the target. The alien with no helmet focused all four eyes on the prefect.
"Unacceptable! We must complete the mission! The longer we delay..." The prefect snapped around to face him.
"Calm down! I know the mission is important. We didn't drop out by choice. I've seen this before. It'll take time to fix the damage, whether we like it or not."
