OOC: A few more swordsmen in the thread can't go wrong. I'd be interested to try Jacques out properly in a swordfight, against someone competent enough to do it. He's the first proper fencer that I've used, and I wonder if I can portray the speed and precision as I would with basic hacking and slashing.

OOC: @Gear How is a HALO Spartan not strong enough? I'm playing Halo right now, and while MC is fairly useless compared to Commander Shepard or even bland FPS protagonists 6 through 9, he scertainly doesn't lack for brute strength or bullet stopping ability.

OOC: @Gear A Spartan II is easily an applicable character. For me Espada wise its either Grimmjow or Ulquiorra. Grimmjow is weaker but I like him more he represents detruction in death and doesn't like people looking down on him. Ulquiorra doesn't believe in emotion or anything. Iorveth is a mass murderer of humans but also an extremely deep character (I sided with him in the game) and Geralt is practical and down to earth.

Iorveth: You lead me to him, hands bound and his reaction will tell us if you're lying or not. My men will follow of course, if you try anything stupid...
Geralt: I get it.
Iorveth: I don't think you do. You try anything stupid and they'll cover your face in honey and bury you in an anthill. You'll scream so loud even the Stormriders will hear you.

OoC: @Random @Ven Dude, come on. We've had characters that ae strong enough to punch people to the moon so hard that said moon explodes. Even a SPARTAN would be dead meat in seconds going up against the stuff in these threads.
@Ven Wow, Lorveth sound insane...
@Hatchy I don't really do that anymore, but if you want one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKo9UH1m4Cc&feature=channel&list=UL

OOC: @Gear And now I have a 17th Century privateer. One of my other choices was an actual Spartan. I fail to see your problem.

OOC: @Gear Its Iorveth, with an I, pronounced YOUR-veth. I love him, his reasoning is fantastic.

Iorveth: You're the most noble human I've ever met Gwynblaede.
Geralt: Technically I'm not human.
Iorveth: You're right. My hatred for the species nearly subsided for a minute.

Geralt: Now you see the hell you helped create, how do you feel?
Iorveth: Nothing differant. They wish to watch me die and I wish to watch them die. The other side of the coin. A concept invented by scholars who've never been to places like Flotsam.

Iorveth: Did you see that Dhoine *****? I like his kind the best. Killing them is like pulling weeds, a chore yet strangely relaxing.

Dhoine means human in Eldar speech.

OOC: @Gear Uh... maybe? I don't know, if he seems like the kind of character youwant to play, then give it a shot. I wouldn't take him myself, but then, there's probably very little overlap between my favoured characters and yours.

OoC: @Random Well, depends what kinda characters you want to play. Douglas, I picked because he's a gruff guy, but he's good at heart. Plus, just look at this guy! He's a gigantic cyborg with fucking PILEBUNKERS built into his arms! That's awesome! Then again, if we want a more comedic character, I could play the Blacker Baron and Mathilda.

OoC: Back.
@Gear, scout is one of the weakest character's here. She can't fight mooks, she can't go 1v1, she can't do anything but talk to folks.

Which is why I might bring in a new character...

Jacques groaned as he came to on the warped, wooden floor of one of the upstairs rooms in the shop. There was a steel framed cot, but the mattress had mostly rotted away, leaving just the springs, and so he had avoided it. Getting to his feet he stretched until his back cracked, and alleviated some of the stiffness. Rolling his head to do the same, he went down the creaky stairs to take a look out in the street.

OOC: @Gear Like I say, the choice is 100% personal preference.

OoC: @Wacky I wouldn't say Scout is weak. She's pretty damn fast, the Scattergun can do insane damage up close, and she's got a high tolerance for radiation if she can survive drinkng Bonk! all the time.

Jaqu's happened to be standing beside Scout, who was fast asleep on the floor.

@Gear, If scout got into range to effectively use her scattergun, she would be dead.
Is that a shotgun? *Uses knive to stab in gut* You're dead.

OOC: @Wacky What are you talking about? Of course she can fight mooks, she's easily fast enough, and a baseball bat can kill in a single good swing, let alone the other weapons she carries. In 1v1, shhe could potentially beat Jacques, though she'd have to get him in the head with the scattergun or in the neck with a sword to actually kill him. She's not nearly as useless in combat as you might think. Granted against Knight she would be, but nothing can hurt him anyway.
And contrary to what shooting games would have you believe, a single quick stroke with a knife is unlikely to be more deadly than a shotgun at point blank range.

Jacques looked down at Scout, then crept past to get to the street, letting her sleep while she could.

OoC: @Wacky, I think she is more powerful then Tao at least, the only thing I can do with Tao in a fight is slash with her claws or throw random stuff, like apple cores, jar and the odd bomb

@Outis, Hi doctor nick!

OoC: @Outis Hey man. And yeah, I saw your post. I miss Makoto too. Kinda gave me whiplash going from her to Vergil.
