Zack looks back. "You're no hero. You know nothing of what it means to be a hero. You're just a thief and a braggart. Angeal was a hero. Even Sephiroth and Genesis were heroes, once. To call yourself one only brings down the name of heroes. If that's what you claim to be, I want nothing to do with your brand of heroism." With that, he walks out.

OoC: @Nail "Because this guy is even worse than that girl from Wutai. At least she tried to be clever, and had a noble goal that I could respect."

"This guy is worse than the bandits I face. At least they know I'm a hero. The khajit would agree with me"

OoC @Zack: Ah, but if you would have let him be, he would've gotten his just reward.

Terra blew a sigh of relief when the shotgun's pellets miraculously missed Jacques. She then dashed over to Jacques and tried to pry the tail of the facehugger loose. "Help me get this thing off! Propperly!"

 

[Wackymon]

OoC: Why don't I think things through...

Scout begins to try to use her bat to remove the face-hugger.

 

[Random berk]

Luckily for Terra, Jacques had just carried out a wild backhanded swing so that when she ran in close and he brought his rapier down again, the hilt glanced off her shoulder instead of the point driving into her abdomen. When Jacques felt her hands cling to the tail of the facehugger he dropped his sword, an act that must have taken whatever self control he had left, and brought both hands up to try and get it off as well.

 

[Saltyk]

Cloud returns, seeing the facehugger on Jacques. "Should I cut it off?"

Zack returns the gold bar. He takes the Buster Sword off his back and places it in front of his forehead. "Protect your SOLDIER Honor. And follow your dreams." He places it back, after this.

OoC: @Nail: "Who says I won't let it slip that I had to retrieve a stolen gold bar from him?"

 

[Outisakanobody]

OOC: You know...I never intended for these soldiers to be like actual humans. Really they are little more than zombies...but what you are doing is fine @trty...Just, you know, run things past me maybe?

 

[Random berk]

OOC: Time to put an end to this, I think.

As Terra, Scout and Jacques struggled with the Facehugger, its grip seemed to suddenly weaken. Its tail unwound in Terra's hands and its appendages relaxed their grip. Jacques immediately ripped it loose and hurled it on the ground where it lay curled up, already dead. He stood there panting and staring at it with wide, sickened eyes. His face, already pockmarked by acid burns, was now bruised and lacerated as well. He stared in horror for a few seconds, then convulsed and dropped to his knees, throwing up on the cold, slimy floor of the deck.

 

[Chungus]

Terra stumbled back slightly when Jacques brought down the hilt of his rapier on her shoulder, but kept hold of the facehugger's tail. "No! These things have acidid blood. Wound it, and you wound Jacques too." Terra said to Cloud. She glanced at Scout, now rather angry at her. "Stop hitting this thing and pull it off! Pull!" She blew a sigh of relief when the facehugger released its grip. After shoving its cadaver away and freezing it with a spell just to be sure, Terra crouched down infront of Jacques.

OoC @Zack: Ah. That's better then.

Scout looks at Jacques, "Well, we're fucked..." She says.
"You okay?"

Cloud took the scene in. Did that creature do something to him?

OoC: Sadly, I really need to go. I'll see what happened when I get back.

OoC: @Outis: And hey, I don't think I ever made it clear that these guys are actual living humans.

OOC: @trty You didn't leave a lot of other plausible options. But I think its going well. Maybe say that Joseph had a couple of mercenaries on the payroll to help keep control of the ghosts? Mercs that he hired by offering not to kill them?

Jacques didn't respond to Terra or the others, simply stared straight down with his eyes wide and his mouth hanging open, utterly shellshocked. Every now and then he retched, but his expression didn't change.

George started eating his stew in peace. He was wondering how he could possibly frame that one man who snitched on

 

[Chungus]

Not really knowing what else to do, Terra started healing Jacques wounds. The pale-blue and green light flowed into Jacques and small stars of the same colour covered his wounds. The lacerations and bruising healed quickly, and even some of the acid burns were healed, the obvious scaring remained. When done, Terra placed a hand on Jacques shoulder. "Are you alright...?"

 

[Random berk]

Jacques's mouth worked, but no sound came out at first. After a few seconds however, if she listened closely, Terra would realise that Jacques was praying almost silently, in a strangled, horrified whisper. He paused, and slowly, haltingly, turned his head to look at her.
"That... thing." He whispered hoarsely, his eyes still bulging, his face pale, som clear, viscousliquid on his lips. "It... it..." is words trailed away to nothing, and then he shuddered and looked away, going back to praying in a louder, more urgent whisper.
