The beam seemed to refract from Katrina's barrier as if endangered the others that were around other than Crystal and herself. The beam lasted for about 5-7 seconds.
As the beam finished, the collage of colour seemed to start to head towards Phoenix, since she was prone at this point from diving. As it came closer the ground seemed to indicate that something heavy was standing on it, progressively making deeper and deeper foot prints.

The guys continued to make a break back for the campsite.

Etna was too busy with accounting to know what was going on until she was knocked flat onto her back. "Whelp, time to make whatever did that regret it." She calmly said as she stood up and brushed herself off. She pulled out her spear and grabbed one of her prinnies by the peg-leg. Then she waltzed outside, dragging the prinny behind her as she looked around for something she could reasonably be mad at.

The collage seemed to shift to a slender point upwards, like a neck. It seemed to collect another energy ball as it fired it as a beam sweeping it across the sky following Phoenix flying.

Marcus managed to get back in time to see the beam blast off into the sky, Bane had stayed behind to get Pyro and Engi out of a deep hole after Pyro had thought in his diluted mind that there was candy at the bottom and pushing Engi in was a good thing.
"What the hell is that!?" Marcus shouted, looking at the swirling colours too.

Although Phoenix couldn't see the colours, just a beam from nowhere the plasma shots didn't seem to hit anything. Instead a rock hit by the plasma shot beaned Odile in the head, knocking her out.
"Uh? Uhhhhhh?! He can see it too! YOU DOLTS! TELL DEAF IDIOT MARCUS THAT I CAN SEE THEM TOO!!" Dokurod shouted to Crystal and Katrina.
OoC: We're going with this speech being translatable to whatever Hatchy wants.

As he put his hand around it, the world to him seemed to turn a shade of blue, and with it came something he hadn't had in a while. Sound. It was like he was hearing the upper thoughts of the people around him, but looking where the colours had been was a symbol.
As he seemed to reach for it, the blue field shattered, and with it the once unseeable monster was visible.
OoC: It is now attackable, I can go over what happened just now, but we can do it later. Just smash it's face in, beat it up, and make it regret being here!

Everyone's attacks seemed to hurt the drake as it let out a great roar, but it powered through and charged at Katrina, it's maw opening to try to take a bite at her.

Katrina switched her to Necrotic Sword as she dove out of the way of the Drake. But then there was the exploding prinny which through her of course and slamming into several trees. But luckily Katrina used her shield to prevent major injuries.
Crystal continued firing ice spears at the drake.

Etna flew up a good few stories worth of height, then flew to get over the Drake. Once she had positioned herself right over the Drake's head, she let herself drop, her spear pointing downwards. Right before she landed, she thrust her spear downwards with all her might, using the force of her fall to make her strike more powerful.
She didn't seem to notice how her previous attack had possibly affected anyone else.

The drake roared with anger at the continued barrack of attacks from Crystal and Phoenix. It twisted its neck around to face Crystal firing a large beam at her then sweeped it up to try to hit Phoenix. It would have nearly hit Phoenix if not for Etna hitting it's head before it could land the hit.
As the beam was interrupted the resulting explosion would have thrown Etna off the drake, but her attack had pinned the dragon to the ground for now. It's tail and wings thrashing as it tried to get up, making any sort of melee attack rather dangerous.
If Etna didn't stabilize herself from the explosion, Marcus would have been close enough to somewhat catch her.
